The best game in the genre of 'Teenagers kill God through the power of Love and Friendship', also known as JRPGs.
With a collection of characters and stories that I didn't want to leave or end, I've never loved a game as much as this one.
Combined with one of the best soundtracks in video game history, and it's truly worth every penny.

It fixes the core issue I have with the first game, which was the fact that as a platformer, Psychonauts 1 isn't very good.
Psychonauts 2 plays more like Ratchet and Clank, but keeps all the excellent charm, characters, humour, and music.
A complete modern package that stands as one of the best games of the year so far, that lives up to 16 years of hype

Why would you make a game where you're dependant on the AI to win, and have terrible AI, driving off cliffs etc.
On Hard and Expert modes, it's almost impossible to win because your teammates are useless and you can't carry them.
The game feels cheaply made, with pretty poor presentation, basic models, and a fair few bugs and glitches
With weak power-ups and slow racing, there are far better options for kart-racers, including this games predecessor

Is this game as good as New Vegas? No. But that doesn't make it a bad game.
Exploring the Wasteland is enjoyable and there are a few stand out quests around, even if its story is lacking.
It's RPG elements are perhaps underwhelming and its gameplay hasn't aged the best, but it's a better game than Fallout 4.

My opinion on this game constantly fluctuates between it being good, and it being forgettably okay.
I love its aesthetic, characters like Parvati, and the corporatism theme. But its gunplay is average and the plot is weak.
I went into it expecting New Vegas, and instead just got another Open-World RPG. Not bad, but underwhelming.

The fact that this is amongst the first games I ever played probably influences my opinions of it.
But to this day, I believe it is the pinnacle of arcadey fun, with well-designed tracks and incredibly tight controls.
A game so perfect that my mum would practice it while I was at school just so she could try and beat me.

At its worst, this game is a clunky, glitchy, unfinished mess, that constantly feels on the brink of crashing
But at its best, it's a superbly written RPG, with a great world and collection of characters, all of which have great voices.
Make sure you install the fan patches, and then enjoy this cult classic.

This game probably gets an extra half star just for the gimmick of a train based racing game.
That gimmick is fun for about 10 minutes, with races finishing in stations and the commentator's bizarre quips.
After that though, it's just frustrating and ugly and has nothing to offer as a video game.

Probably the only band-specific Rockband/Guitar Hero rhythm game that should exist considering it's The Beatles.
Missing a fair few noteworthy songs, and Expert mode adds notes and cord that don't really exist in the songs.
Great presentation, background videos are visually colourful and fun. It's Rockband with the Greatest Band in the world.

10 years on from its release, and Portal 2 still feels fresh, funny, beautiful and incredible as it did when it first came out.
It's the fully realised version of that bonus game on the Orange Box, everything turned up to 11 and hitting every beat.
I wholeheartedly believe Portal 2 to be the single Best Game ever made, and an essential part of any gamer's library

One of the best examples in gaming of how letting unbridled creativity running wild can result in a truly unique game.
With a fantastic soundtrack, quirky humor, and an inherently fun gameplay loop, it's a pleasant distraction that you can come back to again and again.

A fun collection of characters, good music, and a cute art style.
The limited number of abilities prevents the usual RPG thing of being overwhelmed by options.
Everything in the game takes about 30% longer than it should, but overall a pleasant time.

I made a video looking at Vivian, the games transgender character, which you can find here.

Singularity is a Frankenstein's monster of other games, including Call of Duty, Bioshock, Half-Life, Bulletstorm and more.
Using the time travel device is quite fun, as is catching a barrel in mid-air, but the gunplay is very standard.
Overall, it's a solid B-level game with a couple of neat ideas, but isn't as good as the games it takes inspiration from.

A dating sim with a huge number of events and storylines to go through, with each playing out differently
It's humor certainly leans into what I can only describe as 'Tumblr-y', but I didn't find it to be off-putting
If you're not a fan of the genre, Monster Prom probably won't change that. If you are though, it stands as one of the best out there

Faithful to the Borderlands style, with an adventure game style makes a great alternate look at the game's universe.
Has a good narrative structure, fun characters, but it's certainly a Telltale game, so choices don't really matter.
One of the strongest Telltale games out there, with Handsome Jack stealling absolutely every scene with how great he is.
