On the first few runs of the demo it seems like a very polished and sharp tactics team-based dice rolling game. Literally no complaints with the base gameplay.
The catch is there is an absurd amount of customization and unique spins on its formula. It's almost insane just how different you can make runs with modifiers After playing the easy, medium, and hard mode of the demo I instantly bought it.
If it keeps me up at night then I can't help but rate it 5 stars.

A worse version of exit 8. If you like the anomaly game style you'll probably like this. Or tolerate it. Or at least not hate it. Its definitely not as well put together. In fact there was an auditory bug that made me convinced an anomaly was present when in fact it was a simple bug. There's actually a story present, but this kind of game never needs one, so no extra points.
Slop game. At least its short enough to get it refunded if you aren't satisfied.

At first glance I was really critical of this game. Ripping off several themes, gameplay, even explicit puzzles from other titles. But you know what, I fuck with it. The gunplay is incredibly clunky, by design though. I wouldn't call it fun, but there is this draw that makes me want to play through it again to experience that part again. The story doesn't matter, don't even think of that shit. But everything else kinda kicks ass. Especially the atmosphere. There's a dread/relief cycle of exploring/fighting and then back tracing for puzzles and
whatnot.
All in all, worth the 2.5 hours it took me to complete. Definitely worth the time, probably worth the price (esp if on sale)

This review contains spoilers

Let me preface this review by saying if you believe in solipsism or tulpas, then you need to be boiled in shit.
"Ah, but you see. You can't say with 100% certainty that the mind-" - the girl reading this, right before being boiled in shit.
Honestly I'm not sure where this game could have gone if it didn't introduce the supernatural stuff. It could have been a comfy cozy neurodivergantpilled simulator. But not, it had to add ARG shit.
"B-but saying it has ARG is a spoiler!"
Shut up. I'm tired of buying games and having the rug pulled with tumblr mechanics. Its not even necessary. It could have been completely removed and we'd be missing like, a few endings at best. Half of them suck anyway. If anything the dev is risking Elon Musk fucking X.com up and having dead links in his game.
The only times I felt legitimate fear or discomfort were the 'normal' interactions at school. Everything else sucked.
I guess what I'm trying to say is if you like homestuck, then give it a go. Also if you like homestuck I have some space reserved in my cauldron of boiling shit specifically for you.

Its a 2 (3 if you're generous)/5 brain fog autoslop simulator. But it earns five stars for making everyone mad forever.

There's a subset of people in the middle of the bell-curve thinking they're on the right of the bell-curve talking about addiction behavior, casino aesthetics, and blah blah. As if anyone who has ever held a phone before couldn't immediately identify this.
Ignore them. It's your average redditor pontificating circle-jerk. VS a mediocre game with limited customization. Good at passing the time, but little else. If you like this game, you should play other roguelikes.
Ableism sucks! Trans rights! Whoooooh!

This game makes me wish we dropped a third nuke right on okinawa
Fuck them kids

You know what, fuck it. Five stars. A massive amount of content for people that eat this shit up. Well slap a bib on my and put me in a high chair cause baby is hungy.

My only complaint I can rouse is the difficulty and tonal shift. Original game was a fascinating and alien, yet hostile world. Game 2 was more fantastical but still had some malice. But look, it's on earth! Pikmin 3 . Pikmin 4 has lost nearly all it's bite. Aside from maybe the last zone, there isn't much in the way of that that tension when exploring.

But that's not why I play these games. I play it so I can tell my little minions to go fetch me treasure. When I see it's a GameCube disc I squee. When I look around and see that the dungeon is actually in a restaurant, I ooze dopamine from my gills. I need to bash Louie's head in with a rock ASAP. NTNTD '24.

Brings back good memories of doing this with my cousins using the stupid dirt farmers and their plots of land. Only with less clean up

This happened to my buddy mikli once

A stellar experience that is Irréversible changed by...a thing. Even talking about what I don't like about the game is a spoiler. All I can really say is there is a narrative shift that occurs each 1/3 part of the game.

You are not buying what is being sold to you, and if that is a concern, then you should absolutely pirate it before paying full price. You either love or hate this shit, and let me tell you, I fucking loathe it.

A fun little 'spot the difference' game. A lil spooky. A lil silly at times. It's not perfect though. I feel like there are some missed opportunities to add anomalies. And there are a couple that are way too subtle and more frustrating.

I haven't seen a group of people hate a tower this much since the early 2000s

Deeply unsettling. Short and sweet. No actual jumpscares but a few audio spikes that startle.
The biggest jump scares were seeing limbs where there are none. Eyes and a face in a painting that bears no resemblance when looked at head on. Fumbling in the dark looking for instruction.
The only direction you receive being: The doors are unlocked

As odd as the "roguelike" set up is for a Frictional game, it actually works pretty well. The scares we're kind of hit or miss in these games after the first Amnesia, but this kinda works. Very similar to how the alien in Isolation works, it stalks and appears based on how you react. And how you react is based on your supplies and goals. Despite a pretty weak end sequence, partly because it bugged out and failed me on an optional objective, it's pretty solid.
The story itself is serviceable, if not confusing. But when your story relies on picking up notes, and remembering names, dates, plot evetns, its hard to follow. I'm sure reddit has it all explained thoroughly, but sometimes I like the plot to be relevant to what I see before me.
