Quite a lot of fun! Had some moments of "how do i do this" but most of them where me not understanding a item fully. The puzzles where a good challenge but some of the combat was hard to the point of being annoying. A lot of that coming from link have very few I frames and i would get bounced by enemies taking a lot of damage for one mistake. Rings are really cool and i hope to see more in ages as im playing that one next to do a linked game.
This gets a point over oot just from all the qol improvements. I really enjoyed how so many events tie into each other I wish that there was more muti day quests but other then that i have no other complaints the temples where super good and stray fairies are such a cool side objective and im so glad they can all be gotten on your first visit. The side quest are some of the best in the series. An overall incredible game.
While oot did a lot for gaming and the zelda series some poor mini dungeons, item (mainly the iron boots) and enemy design (most "challenging" enemies are built around waiting and nothing else) decision, and the lag of the og version hold it back for me.
Not to say its a bad game i like its coming of age story and i dont dislike any of the main dungeons (although water temple is very annoying having to constantly pause to swap boots) the other 3d zelda games have built on top of this game's foundation so well it can make this game feel worse by comparison.
