Destroy All Humans!
I remember playing the original version of this game all the time as a kid on the OG Xbox so I was excited to revisit it when this remaster came out. It's fun! A deeply flawed game, one that hasn't aged perfectly in it's writing and has some missions that just are not fun. But this is a good game, even outside of the nostalgia you get that lovely, pulpy theremin music. The fun suite of weapons literally all of which are enjoyable. And the jokes that do land are pretty damn funny. It's not perfect but it's definitely worth a play, and I'm glad a relic from my childhood got remade.

Trials of Mana
This game is really fun. I'm a huge mark for games with multiple classes and outfits to unlock for each so this was a really good title for me. I like the different combo's of characters you can form your party out of as well. This is a remake of a very old RPG and you can tell in it's story and dialogue and world, It doesn't lack for charm but it does lack virtually any depth, which is okay it's just not really my thing in RPG's. Still, it was fun enough that I played it comfortably and happily until the credits rolled.

Halo 3
I can't speak to it's multiplayer as it isn't really my cup of tea but Halo 3's campaign alone is a blast, if ever so slightly too short in my opinion, though at least that helps it avoid padding. The suite of weapons is more refined from Halo 2's which is both a compliment and a complaint as I enjoyed how broken certain dual wielding combos were in that game. There's still plenty of weapons that shine in this title though.
I think for my money, it's probably the best game in the series, not my favorite, but a very refined, gorgeous, and iconic game.

Shadow Warrior
Shadow Warrior is a fun time. Pure and simple. It contains some immature humor that you (mostly) won't find funny if you're older than 15 but that's the biggest drawback. The gameplay is fast and fun, it's got a suite of very pretty levels for you to slash and shoot through, and it doesn't waste your time at all.

Black Mesa
Black Mesa is so good I almost want to say you should just play it over playing Half Life 1 if you're looking to get into Half-Life. In my opinion it captures the original game while cutting almost everything that I didn't like in the original. I think Half Life 1 proper is still worth playing just to really see what it was like, but Black Mesa is the definitive Half Life 1 experience for the modern day.

Prey
Prey is a fantastic game that I will always be pissed was shafted by terrible publisher decisions. Probably my favorite immersive sim as it stands.
The space station the game takes place on is gorgeous with so many secrets to find and places to explore. Playing the game on hard is the move as it makes the enemies scary and incredibly dangerous at first but as the game goes on and you get more powerful there's such a delicious curve to the difficulty. I truly felt like my arc from researcher alone and scared on this space station to master of my enviroment, killing the aliens with my all powerful guns as I break down the games final mysteries, was perfectly executed.
It's skill tree system being a craftable item was so fun as well, it made progression feel interesting and different from tons of other games.
I was truly captivated by Prey. It is a fantastic game.

Psychonauts
Truly such a good game. The concept of the levels taking place within someones mind gave the dev team so much freedom with making all the different levels, it's practically a platformer theme park, and one that's so fun to play. From it's artstyle to it's characters it practically oozes a type of charm almost wholly of itself.

Limbo
This game didn't quite hit for me as hard as I feel it hit others, but that doesn't stop it from being a good game overall. The visuals are the biggest draw, the black and white art style and all the different ways they use contrast and framing in the background and foreground is fun and cute. A couple of puzzle's are way too obtuse but that's my biggest gripe.

Far Cry 4
Far Cry 4 is stupidly fun in it's beginning. I enjoyed Ajay a lot, a enjoyed Kyrat as a setting. I even enjoyed the little checklist objectives in the open world. Unfortunately this suffers from the same problem that every Far Cry suffers from. It's too long. It just keeps going and going and the objectives pile on and by the time the game was over I was exhausted.
