great sequel to civ 5 that i play whenever i want to dunk on the ai or get steamrolled by my friends

fun shot of nostalgia and a killer soundtrack, but functionally has been beaten out by the cities skyline series (as much as i refuse to admit it)

2008

fun evolution sim but doesn't really grab me like it did when i was a kid (probably because the game was made for kids)

really compelling game about a depressed dad learning to love his child after enduring immeasurable loss

one of the best star wars rpgs that somehow one ups its predecessor. obsidian was COOKING with this game

i have spent the last ten minutes trying to articulate how this game series is so good/why it means so much to me but my brain simply refuses to so instead ill just say PLAY THE DAMN SERIES IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY ITS SO GOOD

im sure its fun for halo fans but unfortunately i am not one of them

absolutely bonkers game built around a voxel based destruction engine. there's missions to complete but it gets tedious pretty quick.

fun with friends souls-like survival game but that's about it honestly

played this leading up to Alan Wake II, really interesting story and worldbuilding but the game can be fuckin HARD. not ashamed to say i had to crank the difficulty down several times to get thru this game

capcom is known for occasionally making bangers. this is not one of them

if i had the brain capacity to do what this game would ask of me it'd almost definitely be rated higher

gud game that has endless replayability in online mode, another case of "only will play with friends" tho

great game, most likely won't come back to finish it though

the story is quite literally us interventionism and imperialism in south america but if you shut off your brain and play with friends its honestly pretty fun
