Games With A Story Relevant Location Namend: (The) Ark
Biblical References and the desire to start new with humankind, while staring at the face of the apocalypse.
For some Christian reason Sci-fi MFers love to name a places or ship: Ark, the Ark or Arc.
I am genuinely curious how many of these exist.
Side Note: A reference to the Greek bronze giant "Talos" appeared also a hand full of times in Sci-fi Games I have played,
I wonder what other common Names for locations sporadically reappear in the fiction zeitgeist and which might be the most common.

Sonic Adventure 2's Space Colony ARK counts for this i think
Thanks!
Damn, that is a great observation. Leviathan is really common, might be high in up there in the most used names. A giant seamonster with multiple heads is also a way cooler reference than a wooden boat by some bozo named Noah.
Could be a potential list for someone to do, I am really curious how many there are and it is also way easier to us Google for Leviathan than [insert game you aren't sure about]+Ark, because the results for that are mostly story arc synapsis. lol

@Baird yea that one is perfect, thanks for the input!
@DeemonAndGames forgot to @ you in my response lmao
Hate to be the one who mentions this, but the ARK games.
@Archagent I can tell only a real fan of that series would know this hidden insight. lmao
Thanks!
I think that one was so obvious it was destined to be forgotten by me.

I think Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode 3 would fit? Former is a bit of a stretch admittedly due to the possible connection in etymology. But latter works. Great list! Been curious about this for games with Ark in it.
Armored Core: For Answer has the city-state Line Ark if that counts!
@Detectivefail Thanks! I added the latter. I'll look into the Xenogears one
@Ricecreammm should work perfectly fine for this list. Thanks!
FF13 trilogy!
ARKS ship from pso2 if that counts
I would include both FF13 and Lightning Returns because 13 and 13-2 contain things called arks with tangential relevance to the plot, while Lightning Returns contains something called The Ark with a central plot role, 2 for the price of one in that trilogy.
@catonline878 Okay nice! I added the double deal. Thanks for the insight, idk anything about FF 13
@zombiehunter837 does that abbreviation stand for phantasy star online 2 or is google lying to me?
I think most of the Shin Megami Tensei games fit perfectly here since theyre all about mythology and demons and God and stuff. Most particularly Shin Megami Tensei 1 and Shin Megami Tensei 2.
@ThinkingFella
that's correct. unless you already had it added before i mentioned

Astral Chain had a location named The Ark, I think it may have been the hub world but I can’t remember for sure
One of persona 5's palaces is named Ark (shidos palace)
@RaccoonTP is there a location in those games called "Ark" tho?
@ThinkingFella In SMT 2 yeah.
