This is my first Yakuza game, so this review may change once I play the other games. Regardless, this was such an amazing entry into the series. The story was super strong in this game, with lots of twists, turns, and intense moments. I seriously don't think I can list a single thing wrong with the story.

Of course, since the story is so good, the characters are good too, my favorite in this entry being Majima. I'm playing this series somewhat blind, but have seen Majima being a meme everywhere, so I passed him off as just a joke character. However, seeing him in this game really changed my perspective of him completely, and he easily became my favorite of the whole cast. The voice acting for each character was done superbly as well.

My only real problem with this game was some of the grind in certain parts, mainly the real estate. I'm not gonna put any spoilers, but if you know, you know. The gameplay felt a little slow at times, but it definitely gets better the more you get abilities.

This series is definitely best played blind because I had a blast and my jaw dropped at so many of the story moments. I look forward to continuing the Yakuza series from here on out.
