For Resident Evil 7 I think its definitely missing Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 and 2, TCM was clearly an inspiration, you even get into a chainsaw duel with Jack just like the climax of TCM2 where Dennis Hopper fights Leatherface.

Also Blade 1 and 2 for VTM:B because both those movies share the same grungy 90's/early 2000's urban fantasy vibes Bloodlines with all the vampires trading in aristocratic mansions/castles for C-Suite skyscrapers and board rooms.

Finally I think Kung Fu Hustle and God Hand have a similar spirit where it would be a good recommend.
