Bio
Just some person who really likes video games.

I'm pretty generous with my scores for the most part. I think a game has to do something that really bugs me for me to bump it down to something lower than a 4 or 4.5, and there's a lot of things a game can do to make up for those shortcomings.

I'm not trying to be objective with these, it's mostly just me trying to log my feelings about the games I've played and loved.

This game is exactly as good as everyone says it is. The main story path is great and it's supplemented by both a cast of really fun characters and sidequests that are often so relevant to your objectives within the game that they could be part of the main story. The problems presented for the players to overcome can usually be solved in a number of ways."Your choices matter" isn't just a buzzphrase with this game, it's a promise.

You can probably glean this information from any review of the game, the point of my review is that I'm here with a warning. As much as I love this game: I can't finish it. I'm perpetually stuck in Act 3 because of a strange bug where it seems like the game will stop loading in the main Act 3 area (being vague as to avoid spoilers) and either leave me at an immobile loading screen or load me into the map with incomplete textures and an inability to select anything. Opening the pause menu freezes the game, and I have to force quit out of it. This happens regardless of what graphics settings I've selected. I've reinstalled the game several times and that only solves the issue for maybe 30 minutes of gameplay. Maybe the problem is that I'm playing in multiplayer with my friends? I don't know. I think this has to do with my computer having some older parts that are still above the minimum requirement (i5-7600K, GTX 1080ti, 16 gb of ram); they just aren't enough. If you have specs like mine please consider the following: buy this game after you upgrade your setup (whether that's within the year or 10 down the line) or buy it on console. This game really is worth your time, I promise, but make sure you're prepared beforehand.

I don't think this game feels very fun to play. It feels very unfinished and janky in my opinion. I really wish they had put more time into it, because the general premise is really interesting to me.

The more I think back on this game, the less I like it.

It's mostly only cool because of Monica.
