it was a truly emotional experience for me and i think that it's a part of a reason why i can rate it this high.

i will be honest, i didn't really care for some of the characters (hirose, kurusu, tsuneo yada yada) because they didn't interest me but the way this game showed their relationship with others made such a big impession on me that i've gotten emotional quite a few times. sad even I WAS REALLY SAD (the hirose/kazama parallel was sooooo good and the way he treats nagumo and matsunaga reminded me of nishiki and kiryu so much that i just. UGH). i think that for the game where one of the main themes is the fatherhood and the relationship between father and their child rgg did a good job at showing so many different father/child dynamics and it was really intersting to see.

the camerawork was just great AND THE MUSIC!!! ohhh i loved the athmosphere i loved the way it was so beautifuly and emotionally done.

as for the plot, it wasn't confusing at all, i was able to grasp the basics pretty fast and you know what, i think it's great :D it's not the best written rgg plot of course (yakuza 0 literally exists) but i think it's quite decent anyway though i understand why some people might hate it

also substories were amuzing, karaoke was great and gameplay was easy and fun! all in all i really liked playing this game. and crying ig because what the fuck is this ending.
i think kiryu is now my one of the most favourite characters oh kiryu........i lave you.....

sooo i finished y5 :) it was a really good experience, i'd say!

the plot made me quite interested in the beggining and with each chapter and part i was more and more absorbed in this game but if i'm being honest the ending felt kinda rushed?? for me. like on the one hand technically most of the plot points were finished but it didn't quite feel like it?? idk. it's like there were enough build up for the reveal but it wasn't handled properly. But maybe it's just me! okaay!

AS FOR THE CHARACTERS god i liked them so much!!!!!! even those, who didn't play major role in the plot, hell, i can say that even the girl from haruka's dance battle stories was memorable for me (akari i love you) AND DON'T GET ME STARTED on second-plan characters from every part of the game!!!! they were handled so wel!! i'm still a little bit itchy 'cause of park's death but hey!!!!! at least most of the 'antagonistic but actually interesting' characters didn't die so i guess it's not that bad GOD i hated that trope. i also thought that morinaga would play a huge role in this but was mistaken lol.

AND PROTAGONISTS!!!!!! I LOVED HARUKA'S STORY SO MUCH!!!! I LOVE SHINADA! I LOVE AKIYAMA! saejima and kiryu are there too ig JUST JOKING I LOVE THEM HAHA their stories were realy good. i also love dancing. and singing/ and being an idol.

i think i will end my review here but i still have a lot of good things to say abt this game it was GREAT!

this game is insane. it makes me feel so much emotions at once ....... i already spent 130 hours here and finished my first playthrough but i'm not planning to stop anytime soon because there's simply too much content and i want to see all of it. THE ATMOSPHERE the companions the MUSICCC it's just perfect. at least for me.

the only issue that i have is the 3rd act. not because of the plot or smth but because of the undercity. my pc is barely breathing pls help why are there so many people

so. back to companions. they're all so great and i love them and it's been great to see them grow throughout our silly little trip but i have to say that i didn't save gale in my first run so i don't really know him that much but whatever. funny wisard man

i'm sad about karlach so i'm going to romance her now to make myself even sadder . i wish myself luck

finally...after 1 year of trying to complete this game i did it!!!
this game is really good and pretty and i love the main cast so much just MWAH.....but since it's my first final fantasy game, i'm still confused about a lot of plot things..i believe that they could've done better in uncovering major plot points because after finishing the game you have even more questions that weren't really answered.
as for other aspects i don't have any complaints i really liked the battle system, characters design and quest system it was fun!
i will certainly play the prequel and the original and i will certainly wait for the second part of the remake.
all in all, it's a reall good game with rathert confusing plot. recommend

the plot would be honestly so much better if there weren't SO MANY cliche scenes ........like how am i supposed to be sad when most of the significant charatchers died in the same way?? i'm not that smart but i was able to predict so many plot twists that it just became BORING. it may be a burn out (it ptobably is) but this game was so annoying at times ESPECIALLY chasing after the kids in okinawa, don't get me wrong btw i really like their and kiryu's dynamic.

this game left me with so many questions and none of them were answered. ofc there are enough positive aspects too, sure, but the writing is yikes.

you can do literally everything in this game. it has disco, karaoke, business management and other things which i prefer to not talk about for my own sanity.
THE PLOT IS MWAH IT'S REALLY GOOD and sad. i wasn't expecting to get THIS emotional really. there are so many remarkable and interesting characters who left an incredible impression on me damn.....(i'm talking about lee, makoto MY LOVE, nishiki NISHIKI HE IS SO YOUNG AND CUTE HERE I JUST WANT TO HUG HIM, tachibana ect). sibling relationships in this game made me cry if i'm being honest. especially makoto and tachibana. kiryu and nishiki also had their moments

also majima is the best video game character ever. his story made me feel very fucking DEVASTATED.

sometimes this game was a like wish that came true (I'm talking about cabaret here It's my favourite thing ever).
SOMETIMES it was confusing as hell. especially kiryu and kaoru kiss scene in the end of the game, imagine your daughter worries about you, her mom literally died a year ago and you're like. welp. anyway the bomb behind me is going to explode at any second now guess I'M DYING with the beautiful lady in my embrace ;)
also i love kaoru AND I REALLY LIKED HARUKA'S TRUST SYSTEM she's literally my daughter. although i can't really play golf

majima saves the game once again

i am sooo sane about this game (absolutely not) and i have many thoughts about it. not all of them good
first of all, the plot is very engaging by itself but the calendar system made me go feral at the beginning odfpowf i adjusted to it tho and now all of my friends call me crazy for it
i love all of the phantom thieves THEY'RE MY SILLIES although they have their am.....NOT best moments (which i blame on the bad writing tbh)
characters arcs weren't always good either mainly because atlus just like to FORGET ABOUT THEM so all of the build-up goes to shit....
