Absolutely evil, even on normal this was easily the toughest time I've ever had with a game. You have to be a tactical combat character building guru to survive here.

Total fucking nightmare that combines all the tough parts of classic FPS

At one point there was a fight so unimaginably brutal that they had to patch it out, I literally couldn't crack it on nightmare after about 10 hours of attempts. Congratulations Holt Slayer Gate, you beat me.

Spirit summons make most people ignore that this shit is sadistic

Bad hard, again. Combat just becomes a 20 minute nightmare realm around the midgame on hard.
