NES DLC essentially, more of the same from the first game, not much different other then levels from what I noticed

5/10

It's ok, kind of boring and dull. Not too memorable other then the character design

5/10

Classic, levels get pretty repetitive after the intial two worlds and Mario controls like he's ice skating but this game's impact cannot be denied, excellent music and iconic graphics (so iconic, Nintendo feels the need to throw SMB Mario's sprite in every Mario game LOL) just obviously dated in the gameplay department, finding out about the warp zone was also a trip as a kid

7/10

Very cool concept that just has aged horribly, I find it very hard to believe someone nowadays can beat this one without a guide/online map, everything just looks too identical. Atmosphere, music and graphics are on point and introducing Samus to the gaming landscape is worth praise alone but it's just a tough sell in 2024

Innovative and ambitious for it's time, just hard for me to go back to, awesome to see where it all started however

5/10

Played this for the first time finally about a year ago and yeah everyone was not kidding about this one, dont let it's age fool you this one was ahead of it's time and just as easy to pick up and play now then it was when it was first realeasd

Doing a marathon of SMB 1, 2 then this game it really feels like a MASSIVE upgrade in both player control, graphics and level design, it's no wonder so much of what was introduced here stuck in later titles. it has the perfect difficulty curve, the levels are varied and fun with graphics that pop considering its an NES game, worth the hype, best of the trilogy and probably the best overall NES title

9/10

Start to a legendary franchise, admittedly I am bias when it comes to this one as I played it very young but I can see it has some very rough edges especially with difficulty but if you solider through it I think you will have a great time

Although there are only 6 Robot masters as opposed to the 8 that becomes the series standard, the 6 provided are iconic and fun to fight against and for a new player I think it is also pretty easy to figure out boss weaknesses, controls are probably as stiff as you can get with this series as Mega Man isnt able to do much other then run jump and shoot

This game (along with the rest of the franchise) is one I come back to almost yearly, do a quick run-through and end it off with a big smile on my face. For the time especially, Mega Man came out of the gate strong as can be, even with the first entry you've got that great OST the series is known for. Also with modern platforms you are able to use features such as save states and the rewind feature making it easier then ever to get into the franchise, that being said it is a very difficult game but not Ghosts N Goblins levels of unfair and this difficulty will be fine tuned as you make your way through the franchise

Solid 8/10

Did one run so far and received the first ending (?) and honestly enjoyed it quite a bit, very insteresting characters and world, one of those games that makes you want to watch a youtube analysis video to figure out what's going on, very cool atmosphere and soundtrack

Not typically a Roguelike guy but the rougelike mechanics in this game are simple enough for me to enjoy, gameplay is a but too simple hence why I'm taking a bit of a break, wish there was more weapon/level/enemy variety

Going to go for the rest of the endings and update my review accordingly but so far a 7/10

Tried my best to get into it but it just didnt do it for me, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie hold a very special place in my heart and I had to see what their next adventure entailed but sadly this just isnt it

Looking at this as a continuation of a long dormant franchise(8 years the time of release and now going on 16! years since this game came out) it's pretty insulting, going from the gold standard in 3d platforming to a Lego-style car creation sandbox just didnt work especially considering there was little to no vehicle sections aside from a minecart in the previous Banjo games, I guess Banjo Pilot was used for inspiration? LOL Physics in this game just don't work

Now judging the game on it's own merits, I found it boring at it's best and tedious/frusterating at it's worst, nothing beats the feeling of spending 20-30 mins creating the perfect vehicle just to have it get smoked in the following mission. I did give this game a try a total of about 4 diffrent times and always ended up dropping it

I enjoyed the levels provided, the level in which you are inside a game system is a highlight and it is good to see our favorite characters come back, but most of the new characters are either annoying or unmemorable and the character design is very hit or miss, thank God they used Banjo's old design in Smash Bros

Hopefully we will see the bear and bird make the triumphent return they deserve outside of the driver's seat next time

2/10

Made me want to watch the anime this was based on as soon as I finished, awesome little game reminiscent of Castlevania symphony of the Night almost plagiaristic in some ways but great nonetheless

Short, sweet and a blast to play, recommend this to any metroidvania fan, just wish it was a bit longer, beautiful pixel art and plays great

9/10

Beautiful character designs and world, charming story as well, but this game proves positive why old school point and clicks opted to not include death as this one is pretty punishing

Although with the art style you would think this is an approachable game for kids, it's punishing difficulty states otherwise, had to shelf this one as a kid due to that fact and came back years later to clean up and even then it gets downright brutal at the end. it's environments and graphics just beg to be explored though and beg you to come back but I have to admit I felt immense relief after the credits rolled

Dated motion controls also hold it back a bit especially considering you have a very small window for certain actions later on

Overall, an awesome game that I wish could make a comeback with some tweaks to controls/difficulty but it's niche nature unfortunately shows why it didn't make much of a splash back in the day

7/10

Pretty fun/repetitive Diablo style action adventure. Great variety of characters and bosses, pretty everyone both a casual or hardcore Marvel fan would want is here especially if your a webhead, played the DLC as well which I think was worth it

Feels like a mobile game a bit in it's side content but the story kept me hooked although felt like it went on a little longer then it should of as it shows you what it has to offer pretty quick, really cool appropriatly comic book style art, story is about what you expect, cool to see this franchise still kicking

7/10

An awesome B-movie experience with a unique gameplay style, not the deepest or most polished game in the world but kept me hooked for it's duration enjoyed this more then Ninja Gaiden 3 for what it's worth

While not in depth at all, switching from 1st to 3rd person combat was a fun time and a surprising amount of depth with it's weapons, story is practically non-existant, equivelent to a staright to DVD movie but at least better then the Steven Segal variety

This bad boys probably stuck on the Wii U and honestly with it's price it's not worth running out and getting but I had a really good time with it

6/10

Extremely tense and scary game with a haunting oppressive atmosphere, excellent scares, thought provoking/challenging subject material and a great complex protagonist, contains imagery that really sticks with you, easy recommendation for any horror fan, very easy to get through didn't get stuck often if at all, pretty short as well

9/10

Very strange game, very ugly, extremly stiff combat, only OP game I can think of that solely focuses on the Enies Lobby arc so it has that going for it, it's opening movie feels like a early youtube fan made video

I was expecting One Piece Street Fighter and what I got was defintely not that LOL very hard to find much info on this game online which adds to it's strange feel

overall, a cool curiousity for One piece fans but wont hold you long, pretty bad

2/10

10/10 story stuck in a pretty average RPG experience, admittandly used an Action replay to get through some gameplay segments

Xenosaga has a tendancy to have some epic story moments which makes up for alot of the shortcomings of it's gameplay, imeddiatly booted up 3 after finishing this one

Shion and Kos-Mos kind of took a backseat story wise in this one which was kind of a shame but Kos-Mos has a moment that makes up for it in spades, god tier music as well

Not a fan of the voice acting but thought the character designs were ok, some characters looked kind of odd which a more realistic look, all characters as with the first one were great

Worth slogging through the gameplay for the story bits alone

6.5/10
