Even being hard-pressed for RPGs on the system I don't think this one's worth your attention, very slow boring combat, generic setting and characters and just overall bland, didnt get too far in this one and dont see myself coming back to it

Probably the most stiff and ugly Neo Geo fighting game Ive played, no point in playing this when there's so many better Neo Geo fighting games on the market, generic in name/characters and gameplay

Can't knock it for false advertising, irritating in the worst way, mercifully short as long as save states are involved.

Very simple concept, move your curser from the beginning of the maze to the end just dont touch literally anything or be sent to the beginning or the last checkpoint, just not very fun, would be hard pressed to imagine someone choosing to play this in arcades with so many better options at the time

My love of Neo Geo is a curse in this case, easy skip

Played on Genesis

One of the first games I ever played and did not leave a very strong impression, overly complicated controls, terrible graphics and music, not worth anyone's time, the Adventures of Batman and Robin is a much better Batman game both SNES and Genesis versions

Comedy and art-style just did not land with me with this one at all, feels like they tried to make an Adult Swim pilot that got rejected so they had to repurpose it for a game, it also feels like the gameplay didnt understand what people liked about the old Battletoads games as well

Beat-em up segments were serviceable but nothing memorable, shoot-em-up, bike, and Pimple platforming segments dragged and were not fun at all, maybe we will get a return to form reboot in another 30 years

Cleverly used the world's love of Mega Man against us all, it took until Bloodstained for me to even consider playing a Kickstarted game after this disgrace and Yooka-Laylee.

I do like the character designs of pretty much all the robot characters but with Inafune's past work designing Mega Man characters it's good that at least they got that right, gameplay is completly devoid of anything that made Mega Man fun and iconic, in paticualar a disgustingly frusterating Sniper stage, inconsistant difficulty, a final boss difficulty spike that if you made it this far will make you reach for the off switch. Story is completly unmemorable that the idea that this was going to be expanded to a multimedia franchise is nothing short of a gross oversight

It's my headcannon that Capcom released Mega Man 11 to slam dunk on this one to show how it's done and put him back in hibernation, maybe another Mighty number 9 game will give us Mega Man 12...

If you are looking for a true Mega Man successor give Azure Striker Gunvolt or Gravity Circuit a try, even for the Mega Man diehards or those curious this ones worth a skip

Thank God Santa skipped this one from my Christmas list as a kid

To echo what's been said already, baffling design decision to start the game with no warning into a flying obstacle course and upon completion throw you into another scenario with no warning or direction, deserving of all the hate and then some

Don't call it a comeback

Rarely nowadays to I get sad after I complete a game because I'm having so much fun but Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those games for me, to preface I started a new game on ps5 after Phantom Liberty came out so I was able to avoid many of the launch window pitfalls many experienced and even then it did take me a bit of time to get fully invested but once I did this game consumed my time, I also experienced some minor bugs but nothing game breaking

Night City truly feels like a living breathing place and one I found myself getting lost in more often then not, if someone were to make a Night City walking sim I wouldnt hestiate to pick that up, I felt greatly immersed in this world

Sidemissions and Gigs did get a little on the repetitive side (go here, steal/shoot this, repeat), but the freedom in which you are able to tackle each mission lessons the monotany, the story overall is pretty interesting, while I dislike Johnny Silverhand's performance and character pretty immensly at first, he eventually grew on me which I believe was the developer's intent, still I found pretty much every other character to be far more interesting

Driving and shooting mechanics felt very responsive and fun, punching on the other hand was terrible and the boxing match sidequests were definitely a downside, RPG mechanics felt a bit underdeveloped this game is more of a open world first person shooter then a action RPG

Clocked in about 100 hours after doing every side mission/gig, Phantom liberty DLC and some other odds and ends, if you run through the story only i think it would probably only take you 15-20 hours

Overall, a truly fantastic game that is deserving of your time even if you were hesitant during the inital launch, defintely going to replay this one again in the future

10/10

To start off with, the fact that this was made by such a small tean is nothing short of amazing, that being said although I wanted to really like this game, it fell very short for me in alot of areas

The inital concept and characters were great but the writing is too basic/juvenile to hold my interest. The fact that I needed to scan a QR code to be directed to a youtube video for the true ending was kind of jarring. The real killer of this game was the gameplay, I wasnt expecting the depth of something like Devil may cry but I also wasnt expecting it to be so dull, repetitive and downright broken in some areas

It feels instead of scrapping some ideas, as soon as the devs had a gameplay idea, they put it in the the game, I can only go hunting for a flamethrower at the local 7-11 or play a math mingame so many times until I become uninterested

Overall, a cool concept brought down by too many uninteresting gameplay elements and a story that doesn't stick the landing

Completed on DS and 3DS

Truly some of the best visual novels of all time, full of memorable likable characters and balances it's mix of funny, heartfelt and epic moments expertly it's no wonder Pheonix Wright has become so memorable even to people who dont play visual novels/adventure games. There are some obtuse solutions to progress typical from the genre but not nearly as bad as some of those early 90s point and click adventure games, and once you get into a flow state of disamantling testimony with your aquired evidence, that feeling cant be beat

To get a little more in depth:
Pheonix Wright Ace Attorney: Fits the role of an introductory game beautifully , I feel like all the cases in this game are strong with very little dragging, case 5 does go on a bit long but I feel like the DS-Exclusive gameplay elements keep you engaged (blowing into the microphone, examing 3d modeled evidence) Ema being a strong sidekick for this case and great characters also helps. I wish Mia was in the story a bit longer and case 2's villian is super lame, but this is made up for in the third game in my opinion, great game!

Justice For All: As many have stated, definitely the weakest game in the inital trilogy, cursed with two (case 1 and 3) of the worst cases in the trilogy, case 3 has the triple whammy of pretty bad characters, is pretty boring, and as immese leaps in logic even for the series standard, but enduring this case rewards you with one of the best cases in the series in Case 4 which plays out like a thriller movie, was glued to the game pretty much as soon as this case starts, case 2 is very solid as well, overall still a great game and introduces Fransiska and Pearl to the series which is a big plus

Trials and Tribulations: Easily the best of the trilogy, gives you pretty much everything you could want, a satisfying conclusion to Pheonix's and Maya's stories, pretty much all cases are bangers including the filler cases, origin cases with Mia, playable Edgeworth and a court battle against Fransiska and a great overarching villian, it may be because Ive gotten used to these games by the third one but it feels like solutions are alot easier to figure out in this one, this one really ties the games together and is worth getting through all of them just for this one

Overall: 10/10 experience beat these originally when I was younger on the DS and replayed them recently on the 3ds and they are just as good if not better then I remember

A true hidden masterpiece. Everything from the graphics to the story to the gameplay is PS1 gaming perfection, the only knock I have against the game is I sadly don't think there will be anything like it again, but my faith in Legends 3 still holds strong

Great way to experience these rough but important classics
