I couldn't finish this, is too boring. Gunplay is clucnky, the story is "meh", patform is just stupid. Maybe if i played at the time it was released, but now in 2024 i can't get myself back to finish this.

You know what really grind my gears? A game with missable achievements. I wanted to go for 100% on this one, but achievements that need especific things in specific orders or else you are locked away until your next playtrough is just stupid.

This is a fine metroidvania especially if you want SOTN vibes. But brace youself if you are going for 100%: there is a LOT of farm for items.

Just amazing. Every ingame day brings new content, even with 25+ hours the game was still introducing new MECHANICS. Make yourself a favor and buy this.
They could at least make a health bar for the console version. This is arcady hard, not in a fun way
I never finished this game as a kid, and now i remember why. It has a very inconsistent difficulty curve, being crazy ass difficult in some levels and really easy at others, same thing for the bosses. Jumping in this game can (and will) be really frustrating, especially when you can't hit the double jump.
I know games had to be design like this so people would stay playing, but without save states i think this is too hard to be fun.

I had never heard of this game or this console before, and after someone said that this is one of the best of the series i doubted

Doing things that the other consoles could't do it due limitations, this game presented features that we would only see in the next generation: alternative characters, auto save, alternative routes, cutscenes. I will say this is the definitely the best classicvania
