2018

It's fine. Wasn't until like half way through the game when the map design got interesting. Just feels kinda redundant to play after having played Doom and like two decades worth of map mods.

So called "free thinkers" when Danger by Etro Anime starts playing.

Loved, loved, loved this game when I was 14-15, just a shame it's been left with barely a skeleton crew on the team in recent years. Spaghetti code stacked on an old game combined with the recent aimbot crisis makes this one a harder game to return to.
I do recommend checking out TF2 Classic, as it does address a lot of the issues, though its population is fairly low. Hopefully that changes.

The game that sorta made my sensibilities for games "grow up" and start taking video game narratives more seriously.

I've actually not played this in over 14 years, but I remember when I was like 7 years old and I rented this game from Blockbuster and I somehow accidentally closed the case onto my nipple and I started crying.

Liked it a lot more than I had expected. Was never really all that into horror games (most of my exposure to the genre prior was just ammo for loud YouTube people at the time) but I really enjoy the exploration aspect of this game. The whole mansion has a satisfying flow to it that fits well with the whole theme of just unfolding the mystery behind it all.

A well competently made Sonic game. I enjoy the new levels and welcome the changes to the returning ones, though I can't quite put my finger on why I don't come back to this one as often.

Rating is based on the port specifically. I'd only recommend this if this really is your only way to play the game any time soon. Just really bizarre seeing this in juxtaposition to Persona 4 Golden being $20.

A fine, faithful enough remake. Wish the new Vile mode was more fun.

My preferred TF2, just wish it had a larger playerbase.

This is the first time I've been annoyed with playing a Metroid game.
Edit: Yknow, maybe Mercury Steam just needed to make one stinker because from what I see of Metroid Dread's trailer it looks like they're actually learning and improving really quickly.

I think I like this half of the SMT4 duology a bit more than base SMT4. Gameplay mechanics feel a bit more rounded out than the previous entry, and it felt like the side characters were a bit more involved in the story as well.
Would've finished up all the DLC but I felt satisfied enough with completing Twisted Tokyo for now. Maybe I'll come back to it, I just gotta remember to not try to marathon through like 3 JRPGs in a row, heh.

Awesome first person platforming, awesome pacing, awesome level design. Introduces new mechanics at the right time and perfectly intertwines them with old ones. I'm giving this the title of Titanfall 3 until further notice.

After falling in love with Nocturne I soon afterwards went into this one with high hopes, which it did meet well enough. Love the QoL features and the app upgrade stuff, though its pacing did feel strangely quick. And I don't know if I'm misremembering something, but I feel like Nocturne had a more challenging late game segment than SMT4. But also this game felt it had a more challenging early game segment than Nocturne. Regardless, I'm happy that this is the second JRPG I've completed in my life.

I don't think this game is great by most objective measures but I enjoy it anyway. I find the combat platforming mechanics are really fun, I just wish there was more of it, within this game and outside of it.
