I have never played the original version of this game, but I have played Mafia 2.
I loved it. The story was great, the characters were really likable. Just the general aesthetic of the world was great. It's kinda odd having a linear story take place within an open world, as there's nothing to really do with that open world if you're not going for the objective.
This has really made me want to go back and replay Mafia 2.

I grew up with the books and films, so I was pretty excited for this. The castle is beautiful and really fun to explore, same with Hogsmeade. I don't really know why the open world was as big as it was though? I would have loved if we got to go to Diagon Alley rather than more of the countryside...
There are relationship quests with members of the other houses but they can't accompany you outside of set quests, which is a shame, and it feels a bit odd that there's no Ravenclaw relationship character.
Broom and mount flight was sublime and really fun to do, however I would of liked it if the different brooms and mounts had different stats and properties to them rather than being skins.
I think for a Harry Potter fan, having a game with this level of quality is incredible, but it could be a lot better. I really hope the team gets the chance to make another entry and look back at what did and didn't work from this one.

I enjoyed this DLC a lot. The new area looks incredible and was designed well. I loved the verticality of it. I'd have loved if it was in the same world space like the Frozen Wilds were but it's no big deal.
The story was fun, the new and returning characters were good. I really like the character development for Aloy. The final boss was really fun too, I was hoping for this in the base game, but alas we got there eventually.

Should have focused on a bunch of highly detailed planets instead. The proc-gen planets suck. It's the same building on all of them, with the same positioning of items. After the first few I stopped doing them.
Faction quest lines were ok at best. I don't really understand how you can be a part of the Crimson Fleet and then also be a part of the UC Sysdef or whatever, if this was Morrowind you wouldn't be able to be a part of both at the same time.
The big locations aren't big at all, if anything they are too small. There's loading screens everywhere, and yes they are very quick in comparison to previous games but it's still a loading screen when most modern games would just have the interior in world space.
Wasn't a fan of base building in Fallout 4, and in this game it feels even worse... There's a lack of building pieces, if anything Fallout 76 did this better.
It's one of those games that I somehow got a bunch of hours in but I don't entirely know how, maybe I was waiting for something good to happen? All I know is once I stopped playing I had no desire to go back to it.
The PC optimization is not there, seems it runs well on Radeon cards but not Nvidia. There's no FSR3 even though it's a sponsored game?

Got a couple of bugs in this. I like some of the art changes in this version but the overall atmosphere is still better in the original.
The FPS was all over the place. I have played much more graphically demanding games than this... I also had to use additional launch arguments to get DX12 which made the game run better.
It's just the mobile versions from 10 years earlier reported to PC.
