Bloated level design, with a sluggish early game, it's hard to believe this is the official work and AM2R is the fan work. Nearly everything about this Metroid II remake is inferior to the fan effort. The late game is great, though.

Simple, breezy take on the Metroidvania, hearkening back to the genre's Zelda II roots. Polished, cute, and mechanically solid. Held back by the combination of being a bit TOO simple, and by the overly cheesecake designs.

this is just not a good game. but the music is good.

Great puzzler that surpasses the original format with a fun new gimmick. Plus, Luigi is adorable.
