Cyberpunk 2077 was obviously a project full of passion.

As I have only played it a long while after release, I have not really experienced any of those infamous launch bugs. The game felt very polished actually.

A thing I did not like were the side jobs and side gigs, even though some of them added quite interesting pieces to the story and expanded on the already fantastic setting quite a bit. They just felt very "Open world checklisty", which I have not been a fan of at all in games recently.

Another thing that annoyed me quite a bit was, that you can't remove weapon mods anymore, once you have applied them to a weapon. Which means that you are quite limited in your ability to test out the synergy of different builds.

The biggest strenghts of the game are clearly the setting/map and the story. I quickly fell in love with Night City, not just aesthetically, but also all the different small and large dystopian tales it had to tell. The games music is also fantastic, so much so, that I find myself listening to it on Spotify sometimes recently.

The games story is just awfully beautiful, as no matter how much V tries to make things better, Night City always finds a way to beat him down, and the chances of him getting a happy end are at most a slight hinted at future possibility, once you've gotten to the ending of the playable story.

All in all I felt the love CD Projekt Red put into this project throughout the whole thinq, and I would definitely recommend to watch the anime accompanied to the first playtrough, as it adds even more depth to the setting than it already has and makes the final bossfight way more satisfying.

The gameplay felt very inspired by Breath of the Wild and Shadow of the Colossus but failed to bring any good innovation into it. The movement mechanic felt great on the first plateau but became stale pretty quickly, especially once I had enough flaps to not really bother with the targets anymore.

The Story was quite nice, I especially liked the lore bits you could find scattered around the world, as they gave more insight into what had transpired on the island and felt very personal sometimes.

The music was also a great pluspoint, it was very atmospheric and moody and tied into setpieces, events and bossfights very well.

Overall a relaxing experience that I could recommend to fans of the above mentioned games, but not anything that I would see myself ever playing again.

Very engaging and incredibly interactive story. It's mindboggling how much content Larian packed into this game and they rightfully deserve all the praise for it.

The first two acts are a definite 10/10. The third act has a very drastic change in tone, compared to the second one, which I feel like would've been better more in the beginning of the game, when the story wasn't as grounded yet. Additionally, the game does not run as smoothly anymore once arrived in the third act and on top of that, I've encountered many bugs, some of wich can tamper quite a bit with your enjoyment of the game, if you're unlucky...

You can clearly see that Larian had a lot more time to work on the first two acts, which is why I'd give the third act "only" about an 8/10 as of now.

I am quite sure though, that over the next year or so, they will slowly raise it to a 10/10 as well.
