Once I come back and do the other runs it might go up to a 10. The game design on display here is superb although it falls a bit after leaving the RPD.

2015

For how existentially dreadful the story is, it could have been just as scary without the monsters presents. The gameplay is a mixed bag but the narrative is a real gem that still makes it worth playing, I also loved the lil choices the game gives you throughout.

Royal's new contents really tie the whole experience together so much. Maruki is one of the greatest to ever do it and his arc #moved me again.

A brilliant story which utilises its medium to perfection. The gameplay loop may feel tedious at times but the way everything gets tied in the end left me quite satisfied.

In a lot of ways it's inferior to its predecessor and has a lot less features, the crafting is amazing tho

Finding out this got deleted for a new version made me feel so fucking old I spent so many hours on it as a kid.
R.I.P TCGO.

"Death is not a hunter unbeknownst to its prey. One is always aware that it lies in wait. Though life is merely a journey to the grave, it must not be undertaken without hope. Only there a traveler's story live on, treasured by those who bid him farewell."
A Persona 3 remake has always been my dream game ever since the first time I've played it, because for as many qualities as it has, it needed a fresh coat of paint. This delivers that and then some. The characters are richer, the story flows better, the combat is amazing and the ost (aside from 1-2 misses) is great. This game means a lot to me and the ending is still my favourite of all time.

One of the best fan creations ever made.
At its best, it felt like they beat Toby at his own game.
The middle part drags and some jokes can feel tryhardy but it's a product made out of passion that easily stands by itself. Endings are peak.

Manages to deliver a great grim art-style, fantastic soundtrack and strategic and tense gameplay in very little time, a multiplayer mode would be a fucking blast.

For the price I paid it was decent fun with my brother, I even met an online player which def baffled me lol

Story takes a bit to get rolling but it's engaging all the way through, loved Majima and Makoto. Combat is fun with great action scenes and the minigames are a fun distraction.

Instead of a review lemme just quickly run down my very first run of the game:
>was playing with a friend
>he gets kidnapped right in front of my eyes and brought into the darkness
>I stop hearing him
>I have to get outside
>It's foggy, VERY foggy
>running aimlessly
>hear VERY loud stomps, never felt more insignificant
>the gigantic monster sprints towards me and eats me in one bite
I honestly wish I recorded the whole thing, never in my life has a game made me feel so afraid of the dark before, if constantly updated this could be way more than just a flavour of the month.

A masterful story held back by Rockstar's biggest design flaws.
Gameplay peaks at chapter 4 and it's a downfall from there where rigid missions design really got on my nerves, thankfully exploring the world never got old even tho the realism got tedious.

Got the platinum today and I can safely say they've improved everything they could: swinging, new combat mechanics (and a really tough max difficulty), nice costumes, a great story and much more. I find it physically impossible to go back to the original game which still remains a fun game.
The only flaws I encountered are the final act is that it lacks the punch it needed and unfortunately the bugs but nothing a patch can't fix.
