loooots of nostalgia. I wanted a PS3 just for this game. Shame it's been mostly forgotten, it was dripping with personality and ideas.

It's David Cage stupidity.

But it's also probably the truest example of 'your choices matter' storytelling I've ever seen?

Also, all of Connors sections are genuinely great.

The rest is poo tho.

A wasted villain and a misused main character stopped this from being an interesting follow-up to the fantastic first season.

It's still packed with a lot of gut wrenching and emotional moments though.

It's a good game.. but that's about it.

Emily is a great character too, it's a shame that this entire game doesn't really justify its existence, in gameplay or story.

An undeniable aesthetic and outstanding dialogue/voice acting makes this an unforgettable experience

This is my favourite Borderlands game, lol.

I loved seeing how Handsome Jack became the villain (and he's literally the only thing I care about in these games) and the classes were insanely fun (Claptrap is a highlight)

It also put a massive shade of grey on the 'heroes' that you play as in other installments that I really appreciated.

Underrated, imo.

2016

This is if Cuphead and Hotline Miami had a neon tinted baby that married the best of both games aesthetics and gameplay sensibilities.

And yes, it IS as good as that sounds.

A respectable improvement upon the first game.

sensible and sensical additions to the gameplay that enhance the experience massively - it's also gorgeous.

The story explores Lara in a surprisingly interesting way. However, some of the later twists are just stupid.

This is the best god of war game (yes, including 2018)

Brutal, gorgeous and undeniably satisfying.

This had no right being as solid as it was.

Rollercoaster of a story.

Fun, arcadey combat.

Distinctive setting and premise (for gaming anyway).

2006

The humble beginnings of my love for all things Rockstar.

Original premise.

Fun and varied gameplay.

Appropriately inappropriate humor and storytelling,

An all-time favourite.

The story is intense and weighty and the ending is a solid gut punch (in a good way).

The karma system is a bit questionable in this one though.

Overall it's probably the second best.

It's pretty, but its missing at least half the heart and soul of the previous games.
