The game starts slow and has a bit of clunk, but once you level up your character and boosts all of your stats, flying through it feels great. Glad I played through this one!

Previously I'd only played Pac-Man World 2, so this was my first exposure to the first game in the series. I liked it a lot & had a fun time. I do wish the remake would've also given an option for infinite lives (something the original version actually had a cheat for). I hope Pac-Man World 2 gets a rerelease of some kind, as I vastly prefer the vibes of that game, but this was pretty good!

2022: This game is great. It's a really nice little snapshot of the Pokémon Trading Card Game from the beginning that would grow and evolve over the decades to come. One highlight absolutely worth mentioning is the soundtrack, which is way better than it has any right to be.

This game was my introduction to the WarioWare series. I was pretty quickly sold when I was asked to unravel a roll of toilet paper as fast as I could. The DS was a great fit for the microgame format, and WarioWare games are still ones that I look forward to.

Good and fun, but Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was the better game for sure.

2022

I've played Metroid Zero Mission, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and now Metroid Dread. This is easily the best out of the 2D Metroid games. The game feels so great to play, and it's the best that 2D Metroid games have to offer in pretty much everything it does.

Enticing setting, immersive presentation, riveting and meaningful story. Nice and quick.

What a game. Best Kirby game, one of the best games on the Switch, and overall just - wow.

I never played the originals, and I had a great time with this game. I really grew fond of the art style, which harkened back to the DS era art style I've been missing. A lovely Pokémon game, even if it's far from perfect.

This game was a great summation of everything that made the series great up to this point. A lovely buy for the 3DS, highly recommend it.

Loved this new take on the series. The different characters definitely had me picking some favourites, but the microgames are as good as they've always been. The only thing missing here is the voice acting that WarioWare Gold featured, not sure why they didn't do it again but it was a really nice touch in Gold.

This is such a great little Mario game. I've got some issues with the controls being so close to 3D World, but besides that this was a phenomenal experience. I'd love to see smaller sized stuff like this more often (and ideally with controls closer to Odyssey).

Controls - 10/10, lovely
Gameplay - 9/10, simple but gets the job done
Music - 8/10, good but could use more
Camera - 8/10, nothing to complain about much here but it had a couple moments where it was iffy
Sound Effects - 4/10, definitely need more going on here

Overall - lovely game, concise, good modernization of an N64 vibe. Simple but effective.
