fun 3d platformer, but nothing especially standout in gameplay. the soundtrack is insanely good, and i appreciate the addition of the bonus games as neat little unlocks even if i dont think theyre worth playing for more than 5 minutes.
had some funny moments and lines that got a laugh out of me, but the comedy in the tutorial section is just unhinged and left me incredulous

genuinely surprised how much fun and not janky this game was having come immediately from 5. the resident evil 4 prototype really shines through. hope they stop being cowards and add the underwater combat and movement back in future games
final fantasy x is still probably my favorite ff aesthetically. going through and watching the fmv cutscenes was a treat, and i think they still look really good considering the original release date, though i dont know how much that can be attributed to the HD-ification. though i have a few problems with the game (the way xp is distributed and its upsetting linearity to name a few), i can still safely say its in my top 3 of mainline ff games.
x-2, on the other hand, was a little tedious to get through. side quests like desert digging and sphere break just weren't very fun and it made trying to get 100% obnoxious, moreso than ffx. i didn't much like the mission-based progression, and the story was about as meh as i remembered.
