A very cute game. The paper puns were very well done. It's clear that the folks who made this, and who localized it for the US have a love of video games. Lots of references and jokes pointing to other Nintendo franchises.

I am not a huge fan of the battle system in the game. In fact, that is probably the only thing keeping this from being a five star title for me. It relies on a combination of puzzle solving to line the enemies up into the perfect patterns for either your jump or hammer attacks. You're given a limited amount of time and moves to line them up. The timer can be extended with gold coins and you can throw money at the audience to have them solve the puzzle for you if you're really stuck.

This is my favorite SNK fighting game to date. Boasting a ridiculous roster size, the sprite art and soundtrack is gorgeous. It's such a well balanced fighting game.

Being a huge fan of Mega Man, I was really excited to play this. Unfortunately as a spiritual successor, MN9 just fails to capture the feeling of the classic Mega Man games. They ramped up the amount of instakill and dialed down the fun.

The control scheme for this is overly simplified due to the use of the wiimote and nunchuck. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it.

This is one of the best fighting games in existence. It does a remarkable job of bringing the play styles of both SNK fighting games and Capcom fighting games together.

Easily my Game of the Year for 2019.

The game does a remarkable job of evoking a sense of loneliness as you play. Several reviews tried to distill this game down to just a "walking simulator" but the game has the depth of the Mariana Trench. It is one of those games that is truly a work of are, and the performances given by the actors involved are fantastic.

This game is really remarkable. The music, sprite art, and battle system are all second to none. The 2.5D world is absolutely gorgeous. The only thing holding this game back from being a 5-star game was the cliché storylines.

A game that takes ~30 hours to "get good" is a game that has wasted 30 hours of your time.
