I oddly enough started playing this five months before the remake was announced out of boredom. Only decided to finish it off now and I can say that given the critical praise, this is overrated and is definetly not the best thing in the world. Simple gameplay and simple plot, but still makes for something good to play if you want to feel angry. Anyways stan Max peace.

This is probably the best Fire Emblem gameplay-wise. A huge step up from PoR, and is amazing in so many ways. Actually has a final boss strategy instead of 'go to boss and beat them up with your units!1!' shtick. Story is meh, but the gameplay really carries it.

Final boss is one of the most underwhelming in the series alongside Thracia 776.

This has no right to be as fun as it as man.

Only real improvements from New Generation is the soundtrack, slightly updated roster (Yang, Hugo and Akuma) alongside news stages. Only game where Sean has his own theme and is good. Other than that, pretty forgetable and rushed.

Second FE I played. Had some interesting concepts with the branching paths and classes but other than that, it's awful. Most of the game is locked behind buying both versions alongside the 'true' path being locked under a digital paywall. Took alot of what made Awakening great and completely butchers it for a broader audience. Just homebrew the Special Edition if you want to suffer.

It's good you guys are just mean.

Horrible representation of the series. Very biased towards the 3DS games with minimal representation with games before that often being locked behind History maps or DLC. OCs also suck.

this game is good when bitches ain't yelling in your ear about how the controls are floaty.

At first, I was in favour of this game being a turn-based strategy and shooter hybrid, but the fact that they choose to put this on the DS of all things alongside the fact that you mainly had to use the touch screen to pilot Fox and crew in the shooter sections is just evil. Would've worked much, much better on 3DS or hell even on Wii U (not as virtual console lmao.) Liked the map sessions more.

Would've been better if not for the controls. Other than that, a solid game. Nothing perfect, but solid.

Cutesy yet really challenging. If you played some of the Compile-era Puyo Puyo games, you'll love this!
