At this point i'm just turning whatever comments I left on Glitchwave into reviews here lol

For my money the greatest FPS of all time, but you won't really be able to tell that from Fresh Supply. Like, it's a solid adaptation of the game to modern hardware, but it's so apparent that Blood wasn't made for the fullscreen 1080p experience. A lot of what made the DOS version so special was lost in translation, with the lighting and shading becoming rather dull and the overall polish not really fitting the raunchy horror vibe that made the original game so special. All you have to do to render Fresh Supply obsolete is play literally any New Blood title.

Maybe I was a bit harsh there but if you make the sawed-off feel just like any ol regular shotgun it becomes personal

GOAT pixel art, amazing soundtrack, cool level design, awesome fantasy setting, iconic dub yadda yadda yadda it's all been said. Not to be too negative but if this is to become a proper review I should focus on what little there is to complain about the game.

Game's only real flaw to me is the short length. Considering the ammount of weapons, tricks, spells, combos, level-ups, etc. you still have left to go for after reaching 200.6 map completion, I wish actual challenges were presented to the player afterwards that didn't include endless farming. At a certain point you're just repeatedly killing the guardians by the inverted castle's clock room because they're A: the only enemies you can't instantly kill; and B: the only enemies you can effectively use for leveling-up Alucard.
Maybe it's my problem that I love the game to the point of wanting it to go on endlessly, but I also just feel like starting over to feel something again is a cop out considering how much you've achieved and how much you have LEFT to achieve by the time you finish second castle. also Richter mode was created by Satan himself and I Am the Wind is an awful song
