Risk of Rain 2 is SUCH a satisfying game once you get into its mechanics. Every character except Commando has something unique and interesting to play around with, which you don't see often in videogames, especially roguelikes. Although the multiplayer can be a bit laggy, it's a blast to play this with friends as well. My only real and strong criticism for this game is that enemies either are no threat whatsoever, or a HUGE threat that has to be dealt with or fled from immediately if you do not want to be one-shot, especially on higher difficulty levels. With the introduction of Survivors of the Void, the DLC, this problem becomes even larger, which is why I did not rate the DLC very high. It introduces a lot of interesting items and the void enemies are very fun, but the risk (haha) of playing becomes a lot bigger. Thankfully, I came up with ways to deal with this and I still had a great time.

Playing Risk of Rain 2 is like having dopamine injected straight into your veins. Or any other illicit substance you can think of. The music, the pings of the crit sounds adding up, the sound effects of items such as the ukulele piling up so satisfyingly. All the characters are unique and for the most part fun, although it comes down to preference. Unlike Binding of Isaac you can get a lot out of this game without the dlc, but after playing a bit to get a sense for the base game I'd still recommend buying it. Everything about this game is really well made and it's a lot of fun with friends or even strangers; the only thing I don't like is how long you have to wait around at the teleporter events. I'm not a fan of what you need to do leading up to the final boss either, but otherwise the game is excellent.

Not a fan of this one. Items are either really good or just awful so when you get to the higher levels of difficulty (which in this game means every single enemy becomes a bullet sponge) you're either killing all of them in 3 hits or doing 2 damage per bullet and getting killed by something offscreen. Every run just seems to boil down to if you are an unkillable glass cannon or if your run is dead, since skill never feels impactful.

Still, characters are very well designed and feel different from eachother enough to make every run feel and play different. Music is also very good, props to the composer.

It's relatively fun and pretty addicting (got 70 hours in before I got tired), but I wouldn't say it's particularly "good". It's just ok, and I feel that it could be better.

my favorite game to just, play, by far, and my most played game (except probably toontown online). i often just start doing a long run of this game just because the gameplay is so satisfying and great. i've collected every achievement at this point. i mute all the sounds and just listen to music and unwind, letting my brain sort of go and just having fun. it is incredibly fun with friends too. i can always find myself getting back into it. this game is so playable and great, it is beautiful with wonderful music and is incredibly satisfying. i really am so happy with all of the entertainment and satisfaction I have gotten from this game.

tendo terminado uma run completa do jogo depois de inúmeras tentativas falhas, acho que consigo dizer que esse é um dos, se não o, meu roguelike favorito. não exatamente da mesma maneira como Hades, até por que aqui história não é o foco.

a principal questão que torna esse jogo tão divertido é o potencial extremamente caótico dele, graças a quantidade absurda de buffs que você consegue ganhar em uma run, e a enorme capacidade de customização do seu modo de jogo. Depois de aproximadamente 20 minutos de gameplay parece que você está sobe efeito de cocaína e virou um barril inteiro de energético e tudo isso só melhora ao desbloquear os artefatos que tornam o jogo ainda mais caótico. simplesmente a maior mindless fun que eu tive esse ano.

this game is absolutely fucking insane in all the best ways possible. you can become absurdly overpowered, more than you can in any game I've ever seen before, yet you can still get buttfucked by some dumbass lizard fucker.
the movement and combat are ridiculously fun, and the OST is god-tier to boot
i cannot stop playing this game. Help. it stimulates by little goblin game like no other, and the fact that it has online co-op is absolutely Bonkers. do yourself a favor and play risk of rain 2 (with a friend or three, perhaps)
