The aesthetic is "edgy anime cell-shading", and is soooooo boring

Very fun with cool aesthetics my hand fucking hurt by the end lol

slick as hell high score shooter with stylized visuals on a short scale, emulate this shit theyre never rereleasing it.

Recomendo.

Pretty Damn Good game you can beat in two hours where you just need to press like three buttons. Unironically the best game in the series.

Kick-ass arcade-style action with controls similar to Resident Evil. Don't get it twisted, Gungrave plays unlike anything I have before, but its design sensibilities harken back to a more experimental - and flat-out more fun - game design found within the middle-shelf market at the time.

It's a lie to say "we don't get games like these, anymore" seeing a new Gungrave released last year, but we could use a re-invention of the 3rd-person-shooter and Gungrave has some neat ideas up its sleeve I havent seen much of anywhere else.

Just make sure if you're booting this up today that you have either a controller with dedicated turbo support or run this in an emulator, because it isn't worth breaking your hand over a game that's damn cool besides the carpel tunnel infliction.

Please bring back killing the final boss by pressing a button in a cutscene...... game itself is mindless at its worst but average at its best, the presentation and cutscenes are where it shines but a lot of the moment to moment gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. It took me just under 90 minutes to beat so I can't be that upset.

Terrible game, a shame it uses Nightow's art. The nap I took during this game was killer tho.

A definição de estilo sobre substancia.

it's a very simple two hour trip through dopamine land and it's awesome, i really dig the aesthetics and although the gameplay can be stupidly janky at times it's still fun

Fun but the regenerative boss is annoying

As far as action games go, Gungrave isn't the best. It holds its arcade roots to heart as it presents a short shooting gallery every level that adds up to a short 3 hour long playthrough. Gameplay mechanics don't evolve or expand and the story is meandering and shallow. However, its style, length and energetic gameplay make it a fun guilty pleasure to revisit.

I enjoyed the game, but the story is lacking. The anime was way better and actually feels necessary to fully be able to feel the any emotion for the characters.

Unique gameplay and control system that makes you feel like a moving turret but the cool animations prevent this from feeling too clunky. Awesome setpieces here and there and short enough as to prevent the gameplay from getting stale. I really love the style of this too, made me check out the anime which I ditched after a few episodes but it's cool that it exists.

Joguei bem sem vontade, sendo sincero. A sequência parece melhor.

A estética é legalzinha e a gameplay aceitável por ser muito curto.

In an era where almost every game feels extremely bloated to get that 50 hour play time it's really nice to go back to something that's short but oh so sweet. Gungrave is an action packed ride of pure spectacle that doesn't overstay its welcome which took me about two hours to beat on my first try.

cool run-and-gun game despite its janky controls and enemy AI (that gunshot trigger ending is something I will not forget)

Super sick arcade-style shooter that was dripping in personality. Sadly on the shorter side but still a hidden gem worth checking out on the PS2.

PEAKGRAVE!!!!! GOTY EVERY YEAR BAYBEEEEEEEEEEE

decent fun until the regenerating boss which was very unfun and I had to moreso cheese by dying enough times to get enough rockets to finish off its 2nd half of health by stunlocking it with 8 rockets

last level wasnt great either

rest was okay

the sewer level reminds me of st. anger

fantastic little game. brain off.. only shoot.
