"Y'ALL READY TO GET FUNKY?!"

Okay, picture this. Take Wario Land 4, combine it with Sonic the Hedgehog's fast paced platforming action, and while you're at it, sprinkle some of that 90's cartoon and MS paint aesthetic on top of that. What do you get you may ask? Pizza Tower baby! This shitpost of game is mad crazy fun. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, this game has some of the most fun fast paced platforming that I've experienced ever. Touch that up with the most goofiest cast ever and many unique level themes/gimmicks, and you've got one saucy platformer!

Harrowing look into what its like to spend a day in Italy.

Literal platforming perfection, platformers going forward should take note of how easy this game is to pick up and play.

1) There's a fine line between being a difficulty landslide and being easy there's no tension going on for my tastes and pizza tower stands proudly on it like a pizza tower would do.

2) The multiples characters representing both the reality and the fantasy of the restaurant industry may be a subtle detail but it makes them slightly more important than they appear.

3) While Sonic plays with curved lines and smooth action, Peppino shows a neurotic and ratcheted vision of momentum, every move done correctly feels like a real life trick more than mere inputs on a controller, you become Peppino.

4) Bosses are more than mere koopalings, they look more absurd and imaginary than them but they are driven in conscioussness

5) I hate those stupid flying ladders in the mort the chicken level, this level sucks

Wario if today's Wario were Wario

Best 2D platformer since Sonic Mania.

it didn't click :/ maybe i'll give it another try one day (unlikely)

When Pizza Tower is at it's best, or rather, when my enjoyment of it was at its peak, it soars above contemporary and past platformers with a charm and energy that rivals anything the big developers have ever made. The visuals are gorgeous, every sprite, animation and character design is without flaw. They start out with an impossibly high standard and somehow only get more and more creative as the game progresses. The music isn't far behind, it's full of life and chaos, capable of both blending into the background and vibrating in your face when it's time to run. And the movement, oh baby, it's so buttery smooth and cohesive. During the last few levels I had more fun than I've ever had in a platformer.

However. Pizza Tower is not a game that gives up its smoothness without a fight. It requires a level of speed and reflex only possible with training, and it takes a while, maybe 5-6 levels, before I reached a point where I didn't have to wrestle every bit of fun out of the levels. The visuals, for all their zany glory, make everything a little hard to keep track of at first, and the often unassuming enemies dotted around can mess one up a LOT. This is part of the learning process though, and with every level the game feels a little kinder, your eyes and fingers catch up to Peppino's speed, slowly but surely. Towartds the end of floor 2 the game clicked for real, and from there it's pure joy.

I cannot stress enough how creative and joyful this game is. Just thinking about the ways the enemies move, or Peppino's facial expressions, or how that one level is just called 'Oh Shit', makes my heart race again and yearn for more. For the tragic thing about this game is that it's short. Very short. And given how steep the curve for enjoying the game is, it's hard not to end a playthrough without feeling like there should be more, like you're just cut off in the middle of the best part. Sure, there might be plenty of replay value in grinding each level for the highest rank, but for someone like me who doesn't find enjoyment in that, there's little more to do. I wish there was more, I would gladly have played this for twice, thrice as long. I wish I could love it fully, but there's just not enough of it to fully fill my heart.

eu si zerei a campanha principal ate agora , dizem que o jogo fica melhor quando se corre atras das conquista, depois eu tento platinar ele então e atualizo aqui

Я наелся, было очень вкусно ^_^

This game is great. Love the Ren and Stimpy vibes even though I hated Ren and Stimpy as a kid. Didn't 100% this like I do most games and I wanna come back to play the Noise version but I need to take a break so maybe I'll do that after i finish my backlog.

My most liked review on this site is literally wanting a new Wario Land game so you'd expect how excited I'd be for something that takes close inspiration to it.

Pizza Tower not only feels like an amazing evolution of the Wario Land formula but a game that also perfectly crafts its own identity, all the toppings come together to make the perfect pizza, ugh I mean game.

The fast break neck gameplay mixed with the zany artstyle that bring so much fluidity and bizarre life to this world. The game has this clever approach to difficulty where the levels are fundamentally pretty easy but the encouragement to crank your rank up drives you more and more to keep replaying and master all the requirements to achieve it. It's complemented by each of the levels crafting it's own unique theme and keeping things fresh with original transformations and power ups that complement the breakneck gameplay perfectly. I had a stupid grin on my face the entire time across this journey with it's wacky antics and goofy characters.

I could gush about this game all day but borderline this is one of my favorite indie games ever.

i usually shit on indie devs for somehow managing to be less creative than aaa devs (indie metroidvania/roguelikes etc.), but this is some next-level platforming that honestly even puts wario land 4 to shame. a certified banger

A fun and energetic game that is so fun to play over and over again.

jogo maluquinho doidinho louquinho biluteteia

i was told this game was like warioland

it isnt, but its more like sonic rush

still pretty decent

without a doubt one of my favorite games in a looong time. tight controls, incredible art, and an incredible soundtrack. definitely worth your time, especially with the extensive side content and passionate community.

The Noise update was FREE

Good game to idle on the title screen for 40 seconds in.

I mean this is just a modern classic, isn't it?

If you ever want proof of how and why indie games are the best in the business, then Pizza Tower is an immaculate example of that principle. It is so rare to find a game as excellent in all aspects as this one, the music, the presentation, the gameplay, it's pure, ultra-condensed, high-quality fun through and through. Pizza Tower is a game that is clearly a work of unadulterated passion and inspiration, and it's sure to be a game that has the same effect on developers in the future.

I don't like calling anything perfect, especially video games. And while I'm not saying that Pizza Tower is perfect...it's really damn close.

Please consider buying this game. Give your money to the projects like this, small games that can use all the help they can get, because it certainly deserves it.

2 years ago i would have told you cuphead could never be dethroned as my favorite game of all time but dear god this game has genuinely unironically changed my life
it sucks so hard that the internet makes this game kinda look like shit because it is so unbelievably worth your time

I love nearly every aspect of this game. It's funny, it looks super unique, the soundtrack is incredible & the gameplay is always engaging thanks to the P rank requirements. Easily one of my favourite games of all time & a must play platformer.

Really great 2D platformer, possibly one of the best ever, Honestly just have a lot of fun running laps around tracks with mods that let you do infinite laps, and normally I don't like going away from the linear path to just beating the game, it's just too addicting to see how fast you can race across an entire level.

Don't like the bosses though, not one bit, and there's a lot of content cut from the beta versions of the game I wish were in the final one, or at the very least accessible as an extra or a DLC with the old versions in it.

No workshop support is kind of a bummer, but the game is light enough to make modding easy, and these days Gamebanana has plenty of tools to make modding easy (though their site layout is still a bit bad) and I've heard rumors of an official level editor, so no huge deal.
