Core gameplay here definitely isn’t on the same level of polish and depth of 3s but this is the version of sf3 I play whenever I just wanna relax. The presentation in 2i is very colorful and laid back in comparison to its successor. While I prefer 3s’ atmosphere overall because of how well everything meshes together, certain aspects of 2i like the soundtrack and stage design are a lot stronger here compared to 3s. It’s a lot of fun being able to kick major ass with ibuki and sean as well, I love those two characters and sean in particular got totally neutered in 3s
2nd Impact
Coisa linda.

Unpopular opinion, but I think it's a bit of a downgrade from New Generation. I thought the fighting wasn't as good and I don't want to put this over New Generation just because of a bigger roster. It's soundtrack isn't strong like other Street Fighter games and overall not as well made. I think it's the weakest of the SFIII games but it's still playable and a lot of fun.

it's not an extremely different game from its predecessor. the three new characters are cool, with hugo being a lot of fun to play as, but it doesn't really add a lot. i like that taunts are added and have gameplay effects such as increasing meter. i like the depth that EX moves add to the game. it's nice that gill now sometimes has a chance to pick a less stupidly broken super than resurrection. but i don't feel this is quite at the level that alpha 2 was compared to alpha 1. it's not quite the obsoleting that i was hoping it would be, and the stages don't change backgrounds anymore (potentially to save memory?), so in that way, it's worse. not the worst sequel we could've gotten, but there was a lot more they could've done here.
