Basic fighting mechanics that get stale quickly, but the JoJo fanservice saves it from being a complete waste of time.

If I was making a game that let numerous beloved characters in a franchise interact for the first time, I would make it interesting rather than bland
A great what if story for die hard JJBA fans who have read the first 7 parts or don't care about spoilers. Fun team combat, but overall isn't anything special AND is missing simple things like local multiplayer.
you will only really like this if you're a fan of the anime or manga(which I kinda am) but if you're not it's just a mediocre fighting game

A fun, but repetitive and simplistic arena fighting game with an enjoyable 'What if?' styled fan-service story, great stage design, vast roster of characters and good music. Naturally if you're a Jojo fan you'll enjoy it more, but even then it most likely isn't going to land on an 'all time fave games' list for most people.

Generic arena fighter. Only pick up if you're a fan of Jojo as this is more of a fanservice game
Fanservice done well, the story doesn't make any sense but the enjoyment comes from seeing all different eras of the Jojo franchise come together in dozens of silly interactions. The gameplay, while flawed, is so faithful to the exhilarating source material that you tend to forgive the downsides and just enjoy the crazy powers and personalities it has to offer. The voice acting and sound design are really solid for the most part. The biggest letdown is of course the unstable online matchmaking and the lack of local multiplayer. Some performance issues here and there but nothing major.

They decided to make a bad Jojo game. It really sucks that this game has the most content, and the best overall design, but it is just not fun to play.

I felt the strong need to play jojo fanservice for some fucking reason so I acquired it "legally" and spent about a few hours just seeing if I could garner enjoyment from this game.

Yeah no, this is like extremely budget even by bandai namco standards, and wack even by arena fighter standards (only Jump Force really stands out as much worse than this). Definitely a skip, there is neither fun mechanics here nor decent enough fanservice. To the trash pile.

Why do you not have a local multiplayer mode? Why do you have N'Doul but only two characters from Jojolion? Who thought these were good ideas and what is their address
pretty much the only reason i completed this was because jojo is wholesome keanu 100 epic. if this was any other property with the same gameplay style i wouldve dropped it immediately
All Star Battle was both a better fanservice game (outside of the combo attacks i guess) and a better action game
If you're a jojo fan, it's really fun to see all the references. Every charachter has a totally unique style of fighting, and there are lot of fanservicey unlockables. Aside from that, the game has a really cool story mode that acknowledges the full lore and overarching plot of jojo. However, it lacks local multiplayer, and that brings it down a lot

A step down from the first game in every way, and that game was already pretty janky and just relying on fanservice. The only real improvement is that it adds more characters and more costumes. That’s not nothing, but it’s not enough. I wish they had just continued the style of the first game or even upgraded it to PS4 and just added a few more characters.
