Busty memorable anime girls, great beat em' up mechanics, and robust customization make up this pretty good game. Although, I do think it lives in the shadow of it's successor.

I've said this for every Senran Kagura game I've played so far, but I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this game as much as I did. The stories for each group are all fun, though they do contradict each other quite a bit, the music is great and probably my favorite soundtrack of the series so far, the gameplay is fun, but I did somewhat prefer Burst and 2's 2.5D style, and the characters are mostly great. I say mostly because some characters suffer from oversimplification, such as Yomi, who relies far too heavily on bean sprout jokes despite being one of the best characters in Burst.
In regards to the story itself, every group's story is fun, but some are much better than others. Oddly enough, Hanzo has a better conclusion to Gessen's character arcs than Gessen's own story. However despite how the stories contradict each other, they work well as a whole package.

a decent enough take on the senran kagura formula. This game transitions the series from a more traditional 2D styled gameplay to a more 3D musou inspired one, in that you are tasked with mowing down tons of enemies that don't provide too much of an opposition in a pretty stylish way with various characters that each have their own unique combo strings. If you are into those kinds of games you arent gonna be disappointed with this one. This game also doubles our amount of playable characters from the 3DS games, introducing 2 brand new schools each with their own set of well-endowed ninja girls. The story is also pretty decent and each ninja school has their own vibe that I like. You can definitely do a lot better than playing this game, but you can also definitely do a lot worse, I guess.

I did everything in this game. Good beat em up, good character designs. Entertaining.
Given the whole concept of the gameplay itself and even how many of the characters act, you would expect the story to not try to take itself so seriously.

uuh. This game is fun! a great hack and slash fanservice game that has endless amount of replay-ability. I recommend it if you are into what you are seeing through the trailer and screenshots. I had a blast playing it on Vita.
