It was aight. Very similar to inscryption but not as visually appealing or engaging gameplay wise/stroy wise.

If the name "Inscryption" rings any bells, get yourself this game for $1 on any steam sale and get hyped for Pony Island 2!

I was excited to play this game, as I am a massive fan of Daniel Mullins' other game "Inscryption", but this game was unfortunately not able too pull off the same levels of intrigue or finesse as that title. Neither the 'usual' nor the subversive moments in this game were interesting to me, and the best thing I have to say about it is that it told its narrative with relative brevity.
If you were thinking of getting this game, I would strongly suggest you get Inscryption instead!

Very creative game, this Daniel Mullins guy knows how to make 'em. A steal on sale for $0.45.

A stellar place for the Daniel Mullins universe to begin. A simple but compelling game about games, humanity, and the devil himself.

After playing Inscryption a couple years ago, and now this, I am very excited for how Pony Island 2 will turn out.

I'll probably enjoy this game even more after some time, just like Inscryption.

I like it, it was worth to %100.

What a neat little game.

I came to Pony Island years after playing Mullen's other title Inscryption which I adored. I do wish I played Pony Island first ahead of Inscryption as it is similar in its storytelling style, but you can tell they have honed their craft once they arrived at Inscryption. Their ability to setup interesting player interaction and predict what a player might attempt and meet it with an interesting, cryptic, and weird answer is always a joy to play through.

With that said, Pony island is a mechanically simple game that can be primarily played with just the mouse with a fun interactive story that I don't want to spoil. The game creates a lot of unique and interesting sets of interactions between the player, the game, and developer.

Past that, this game is only two hours and on sale cost me $0.89 CAD, so yeah, spend the less then a dollar for a fun 2 hour experience that will suck the soul out of you :)

gameplay loop is whatever, the daniel mullins-ness of it shines with the everything else

I love how creative Daniel Mullins gets at the moment of playing and breaking the core elements that compile the experience of playing videogames.
Keeping its boundaries clear and small in comparison to Inscription, Pony Island still conveys a really rounded and fresh experience.

This game is also an essay on how game feel and packing can turn simple gameplay ideas in strong experiences.

The "disgusting thing moment" got me.

Not a bad game, but doesn't quite live up to the hype on other parts of the internet IMO. Some tricks are exceedingly clever, and some feel on a similar level as The Impossible Quiz from 2007

while it was very interesting to see what is clearly a precursor to the masterpiece that is inscryption, this really does feel like a rough draft. inscryption's genius was marrying metanarrative with a genuinely compelling gameplay loop. the puzzles are pretty cool, but the runner sections are pretty lackluster. all that said, i am VERY curious what pony island 2 will look like.

Pretty neat game. After having played Inscryption, its fun seeing the begin of everything I loved about Inscryption. A lot of similar ideas. Also it was only 2 hours so that rules.

It's an offline dinosaur game with lasers and fourth wall breaks. I had some fun. The puzzles especially made me feel kind of smart and were pretty fun- never overstayed their welcome. It got a bit annoying at times and dragged at others, but the bit with the fake Steam message? That got me—cool fourth wall break.

Me encantan estas pequeñas joyas indie, estas historias reducidas sin búsqueda de la grandilocuencia de un triple a, mi momento favorito es cuando se rompe la 4 pared en el quiz de asmodeus

No one is on the level of devil. A really unique experience with some shocking and perplexing moments that are mired by gameplay that ends up being repetitive and unfun puzzles that might not be your thing.

Regardless, worth experiencing at least once.

Daniel Mullins' fascination with sentient computers is put to far better use in his future games, but the novelty of the characters and puzzles (plus the promise of a direct sequel) make Pony Island worth checking out.

Powerful, engaging, clever: not yet the masterpiece that is Inscryption but a very strong and unique start.

Extremely cool and interesting game. Wanna say more but the game is best left experienced blind.

Loved the ideas, found some of the gameplay frustrating. Clearly the ideas here are more fully developed in Inscryption, which has a gameplay loop that on its own is fantastic, while the pony jumping here is at best neutral, often annoying.

cool, but not that super exciting. definitely worth a try. has some very interesting puzzles

esto me paso a mi cuando instale el Minecraft pirata en un Windows XP

Feels like a beta for Inscryption, but in a great way that still works as its own game.

Buen juego para pasarse en una tarde o dos.
