This is the only dmc game i have played i know the other ones better but i really enjoyed it still listening the never surrender song :D
It's weird that people are calling it the "Black sheep of the franchise", which makes it seem like this is even remotely comparable to the previous games or the entire series as a whole.
this game has hatred not only for the Devil May Cry series, but to action games entirely, it loathes the very idea of an action game, choosing the most boring, sauceless and soulless combat i have ever interacted with.

The capcom execs who believed this will somehow generate more fans in the west
or Ninja Theory for their horrible design choices.
This game isn't underrated or a hidden gem, it's plain and simple bad.
But if anything its a nice time capsule of 2010-2015 edge.

Eu não sou o maior fã dos personagens desse jogo e acredito que qualquer um que seja fã da série original concorde que essas caracterizações ficaram bem xexelentas e não correspondem ao carisma da saga original, e sobre a história nem irei comentar porque honestamente isso nunca foi o forte dessa franquia como um todo.
Dito isso, irei para o que realmente importa: a gameplay. Eu sou um grande fã do combate desse jogo e acredito que eles acertem muito nesse quesito, é fluído o suficiente para te prender e variado o bastante para não ficar enjoativo. Minhas maiores críticas a gameplay é o fato de ter que SEGURAR os botões de gatilhos para MANTER uma devil/angel arm equipadas, senão vai trocar pra rebellion e isso incomoda bastante quando o inimigo em específico precisa ser acertado com um determinado tipo de arma (sim, eles fizeram essa barbárie de ter inimigo que só toma dano de um determinado tipo de arma numa franquia que a graça sempre foi fazer as maiores malabares com todo teu arsenal).
Os inimigos fora estes e as bruxas (malditas que corroeram meus ouvidos) são incríveis de se lutar e dá gosto esmirilhar uns demônios tão nojentos assim. As boss battles tem seus altos e baixos (não irei comentar sobre a ofensa que é a boss fight do vergil no final) e são sustentáveis o suficiente.
O level desing é o melhor da franquia até agora e não tenho críticas a ele, é bastante fluído e intuitivo.
O jogo é curto e zerei com relativa facilidade comparado a outros dmc's, recomendo comprar ele em uma promoção.
Não acho que esse jogo mereça três estrelas e meia mas ele também não merece quatro, então vou converter a nota para numeral: 7,5.

Creo que de "pequeño" lo recordaba mejor. Eso no quita que no me lo haya pasado bien. De hecho es un gran juego al que la comunidad de Devil may cry nunca logrará aceptar. Al hacerme mayor y al desarrollar mi vena analítica puedo confirmar que este juego era mejor cuando era mas inocente. Los puntos buenos son La fluidez de los combos la temática, el soundtrack y sobre todo el desarrollo de Dante como personaje (sin lloros fan de devil may cry que yo también lo soy) Mi armas favoritas son las clasicas y le sumo a Osiris la primera arma angelical, muy cómoda y fluida de usar. Y como puntos negativos tiene varios, alguna bajada de frames, bugs en cinemáticas por el doblaje y porque creo que las escenas son a 30fps y el juego a 60fps y lo frustrante que son algunos enemigos. "No entiendo como hay gente que se hace la no hit se merecen un premio a los mejores jugadores del mundo".

Soundtracks are fire, overall style of the game is great.
Pra quem nunca jogou nenhum dmc é bem legal, gameplay muito boa e história mediana, o boss final achei bem fraco, consegui derrotar sem dificuldade comparado com os outros do meio do game.

Went in with an open mind, and you know what? S'all right. A lot of the game's DNA, like the music being linked to your style ranking, the cute little way enemies are introduced - a lotta that got carried over to DMC5. The feel of the game itself was kind of /shrug, and the self important story wasn't too compelling. What was, though, were the visuals and environment designs. Incredible levels, best in the series. The Bob Barnas boss fight is one of the most visually cool in the series, I loved every minute of it.

The gameplay itself is okay, its just the story is laughably bad without being at all aware of it. People mostly hated it because of that, and how it dared to claim to be DMC's replacement after a long time of waiting for a proper sequel. If it wasn't tied to the DMC name for no reason, it would've been seen as mid.

Se não fosse um Reboot de uma franquia aclamada, talvez tivesse sido aclamado na época que saiu, seria um bom spin-off de DMC sem dúvidas, não pela história, a história desse jogo é uma merda, mas as histórias de DMC não são a coisa mais bem feitas do mundo também, não é nem O FOCO do jogo, o negócio é a gameplay, e a gameplay disso daqui é tão boa que DMC5 aprimorou ela, mas uma coisa eu não entendo até hoje, e é O POR QUE ESSE JOGO NÃO TEM SPECIAL EDITION NA STEAM?! DMC that isn't really DMC. It's a fine action game in its own right, but it certainly isn't fantastic. Plus stupid intrusive mechanics like angel and demon weapons.

Writing as someone who played this as their first Devil May Cry, this game fucks.
DmC: Devil May Cry had colossal boots to fill. Admittedly, the choice to simplify the gameplay in a series known for its deep, complex combat system, set an edgy tone to characters beloved for their goofiness and coolness alike, and reduce freedom of choice in approaching smoking sexy style may not have been the best move. But I loved every bit of it.
The DMC reboot had a major objective for Ninja Theory set by Capcom; to package the Devil May Cry experience for a western audience. In my case, the game was incredibly effective at this.
I enjoyed the now-plain combat system, allowing me to feel like a badass with moderate amounts of effort. I never felt the effects of the lesser options to taking on enemies (due to being a new player). Finally, through not taking the story and characters too seriously, I actually starting loving them. (edit: holy smokes the soundtrack).
There are a few other fronts where the game especially shines. The level design, for one, is a completely new approach for Devil May Cry. Environments shift and morph as you progress through each stage, and, it's all wrapped in a unique art style with endearing colour palettes. The enemies, particularly the bosses, are incredible and are a blast to fight against.
My biggest problem with this title is actually something I love it for. The simplicity. There are a few parts where the handholding feels a bit extreme and the game can become a little "western devvy." Objects in the environment flashing a certain colour, enemies only being able to be defeated using certain weapons, all of these come together to make it feel like I am a kid putting shapes in holes rather than a cool ass demon half-breed.
To sum up, DmC: Devil May Cry depends largely on the mindset it is approached with. If you see it on sale and enjoy the hack-n-slash genre, give it a go.

Não deixe que o preconceito e o desdém façam esse jogo passar batido pela sua vida. É uma obra obrigatória para qualquer fã de espadas e combos estilosos.
🏆O 100% do jogo é bem tranquilo e o mais fácil da franquia, só um pouco demorado por ter que terminar o jogo várias vezes para conseguir os troféus de dificuldade.
