Gameplay is strongly caring this game not gonna lie.

çok güzeldi şimdi siktir git

i loved dying light so me and my bf pre-ordered this, we followed the development closely and the videos looked very promising. we started playing on release day with many expectations, but the bugs made it unplayable. many quests were broken. we wanted to try and reach 100% completion, so we did all side stuff thing, windmills, gre quarantine buildings, bandit camps etc. since doing the side quests were not an option because they kept bugging and we couldn't complete them. the bugs gave us burnout so we took a long break. went back to playing last week and was so disappointed the same bugs were still there. the game breaking bugs... since we couldn't complete some of the side quests again due to the same bugs from 1+ year ago, we decided to rush the main story, but the last main story quest was VERY bugged as well, we couldn't watch the cutscene, just floated in space. with its current performance, it deserves less than 3 stars, but i really wanted to love this and i like techland so i'll be generous with my rating. techland, please release your next game less buggy, just take your time with it...

My second playthrough of Dying Light 2 cemented how I feel about this game,
It's good, it's enjoyable, but it could do a lot more.

It just feels like it's missing... something?

I'm also rarely-never a fan of level scaling with enemies, let me level up, reach the maximum and just plow through everyone. Why do I still feel 'under levelled' when I've got no other skills I could possibly get?

I'm also not a huuuuge fan of the weapon damage system in this, it seems weapons break way too fast and unlike other games where they have this, there's nothing else to 'experiment' with in terms of weaponry as an alternative.

Besides that, the story is alright, the world is somewhat detailed and filled with things to do and the traversal is great.

i had tons of fun
does it have it's flaws? yeah, a lot
but it was incredibly fun

mmmm yes parkour and zombie and survival and loot

Would have been a very fun experience, but the game/save breaking bugs absolutely killed it for me

big stepdown from the first game, combat is janky, the game is buggy, the story does't make any sense, parkour is ok, only thing that is better than the first game is the graphics...

Sometimes the game is boring, and sometimes the game feels really cool to play

Despite me liking 2 more than 1; theres a lot of down-sides like the pitiful performance bugs and weapons sometimes fucking up on launch. but tbh it was really fun to pass this game in one week.

probably not going to pick this game back up, it was a buggy mess at launch and i really wish i could get my 60 dollars back but the game takes like 2 hours to realize how shit it is and you cant refund it by then. the parkour is good and the combat is alright but the story is awful and shoved down your throat heavily.

The story did not quite capture me as much as I wished, you feel as though it’s a bit all over the place and you don’t face the enemy head on or they never set you back and make your life tough. Anyway, I loved the gameplay and loved just tearing through zombies in the streets and the side-quests are great as always. I wish the Story could have been revolutionised and made this game one to remember but it didn’t quite. I played the game a year after release with no bugs and perfect performance on Series X. The atmosphere in the game doesn’t feel like an apocalypse, too bright and forgets how to make an unsettling atmosphere and environment.
I did enjoy this game but I am left sad with the potential of this game that didn’t come to fruition. Overall, a good game.

Dying Light is my favorite game of all time and I was so unbelievably hyped for this... Then it released and I was promptly disappointed. The rpg elements are not nearly fleshed out enough to be fun and the story is uninteresting and ultimately has no consequences. Aiden isn't good because he lacks literally every quality that made Crane good in the first game, I'm not saying Aiden should've been a copy of Crane but he also shouldn't have been the exact opposite. Crane was a badass hero who could take on damn near any odds and would do so to protect his friends in Harran, but Aiden gets punched in every cutscene and goes through the story not giving a shit about anyone at first and just trying to use them to find his sister, which means literally nothing in the end.

That out of the way, it did manage to improve on the first game in a few ways, really only combat and parkour, the most important categories. For combat, human enemies are much less frustrating to fight and actually have decent ai, but the zombies are biggest non challenge ever, there's barely any volatiles at night, howlers are useless replacements for an actual interesting infected in the screamer, and the other special infected types just do not show up enough to even be slightly memorable. The parkour though, is greatly improved in every way. In the first game you had a pretty low to the ground area to parkour on, and while it was fun there it had much potential to evolve, which it did. The newly added skyscrapers in the Central Loop allow for much more vertically and variety in your parkour, and the revamped grappling hook, which is far better as it isn't a fast travel option, and the paraglider add even more traversal methods besides running. The addition to allow actual wall running now is also greatly appreciated. Overall the parkour is much more fun and the combat is slightly better but pretty much everything else is horrible, truly disappointing.

Dying Light 2 is yet another example of feature creep ruining a promising sequel that could've outshone the original completely, but failed. It's not a complete faliure, of course: I just LOVED the improvements they've made to parkour, how they retooled some combat mechanics, and the way they tackled night gameplay. But with it's fuck-huge open world with icons constantly assaulting your senses, it's hard to just sit back and enjoy the good parts of this one, and the story is immensely dissapointing. The OG Dying Light didn't have the best story either, but at least there were memorable and fun characters supported by great cutscene direction and voice acting; now it's just cliche morons bumbling their way into an anti-climactic ending. Really dissapointing. If Techland intends on making a third game someday, I'd want them to narrow it's scope a little bit, or at least introduce some more sandbox elements and greater enemy variety, not double down on scripted idiocy or live-service elements most players won't even touch.

ئەو یاریەم خۆشدەوێت بەڵام گلیچ و بەگەکەی ناهێڵن یاری بکەم.
١٨ کاتژمێری پێویست بوو تا تەواوم کرد.

I wish they kept the simplicity of the first. I don't care about special little zones, I wanna jump around and kick shit

dropped it around the end bc it was getting boring but i had a lot of fun

dunno if i'll ever go back to finish it though

esperava mais
o 1 conseguiu ser melhor
falta DLCs mais daoras

I was really excited for this considering how good dl1 was, but, wow. The only thing that's good here to me is the parkour.

HOLY SHIT THE STORY IS SUCH A SNORE, this is one of the only games I fr just started skipping cutscenes and story segments. BUT! The gameplay is so god damn fun, I wanted to finish the game just so that I could play more of it. But the fact that I skipped the story really bumps it down a bit. (6.5/10)

I liked the gore and I'm being generous with this rating tbh

Yep, they didn't know what they were doing. This is basically the first game but worse. It does have cute graphics but even these are like, not necessarily a step up. They're different enough to not be comparable tho. It's a lot more bright and flashy this time around, for better or worse. Ok actually there's one thing this game has going for it, and it's the parkour music. I had a ton of fun running around just to activate the music. Maybe it even made parkour feel better in this game in the end? But if parkour feels better, combat certainly does not and uh... Idk I mean even if parkour is more fun, that's really it. Nights are flawed, monsters are way more boring, you really gotta force yourself to run around in circles for a long time if you want any intensity and yeah idk this game definitely did not capture the essence of it's prequel... Playing with no hud was at least fun for a bit. And it's not all bad I still managed to find ways to enjoy the game, but it's definitely not expertly crafted at all. Oh yeah the story is a joke

not as good as the first one but still pretty good

when is the light gonna fucking die already i dont wanna play this game anymore

Cool parkour guy kills zombies for fun, very good game :)

Довольно увлекательная зомби песочница с паркуром. Пресный сюжет, но очень веселый геймплей
