Continuing the story, MMX2 removes some of the nice details that MMX had, but at the same time adds new mechanics. Well, at least for me, I find it more enjoyable than the 1st one.

meu segundo favorito da serie atrás apenas do x8, foi uma evolução natural do primeiro em todos os aspectos, literalmente tudo do primeiro esta aqui só que melhor, nem tem muito o que dizer

Good follow up but it's missing something that the first one has but I can't quite put my finger on it

This game is very good, but I don't remember much about it. Whenever I think about this game, I think about X1 instead and how this game is X1 but less memorable.

o dash funciona🙏🙏

A real worthy successor to Mega Man X. The X Hunters are a fun addition, the soundtrack is pretty good, and the graphics are most definitely better than X1. I don't think it will ever have the "replay after a hard day" value of X1, but I still give X2 a high recommendation. It's just a straight up fun time.

Almost beat on a New 3DS but I accidentally wiped my save state. Ouch. Anyways, a solid follow up to the original. Everything is here, just a little different and intresting. The only bad part is that the OST is a fair bit worse, but overall, good game!

it is nowhere near as good as X1 in any sense aside from hinting at a few plot points at the end but it's still a pretty solid game

Nobody ever talks about this one but it's my favorite in the series. Routing out the run with the least amount of backtracking is super fun and the levels are all really well designed.

It's more Mega Man X! The level design definitely isn't as good, but it still has some novelty to it, the fast action-packed gameplay still fucks, the music is still pretty good, and the graphics are still colorful and detailed. I especially like that this game utilizes some of the Super Nintendo's tricks, with some wireframe graphics and Mode 7 special effects frequently utilized on the bosses. This doesn't have that "goddamn this is AWESOME" near-constant high of the original Mega Man X, but it's still worthwhile.

Not much to say that I didn't already do in my X1 review. The optional Zero parts side quest was a neat addition! Overall good and probably on par with the first game.

More of the same, which is great. However, something about it isn't quite as memorable or charming as X1. If you like X1, X2 is still a worthy followup

I want to live in crystal snail stage

An improvement over X1 in a lot of ways, but still limited by several design decisions

Mega Man X2 I would describe just as being more Mega Man X. I'm saying this as a compliment to the game though, as I really had a lot of fun while playing Mega Man X2. But at the same time though, I find the same issues I had in Mega Man X persisted in Mega Man X2.
I love the movement of X. And with the new upgrades X can get during the game increased how well X plays too. Air Dashes especially make movement feel just that much better. And the levels really compliment X's movements. When I got the hang of the dash jumps, platforming got really damn fun too. When it came to the controls, it was really well laid out, though I did have issues keeping a charge while trying to do a dash jump. And this is a pet peeve that I had that was also in the original Mega Man X, but I've just never been a fan of off-screen respawning enemies. And lastly in the vein of levels, I really miss how the levels sort of interacted with each other in the original Mega Man X, and how clearing out one level may impact another.
I also found the bosses to be a whole lot of fun. I wouldn't say they were as memorable as the first game's, but theres a lot of fun ideas sprung into the mix. One of my favorites in particular being Morph Moth. I also really love the X Hunters too, they were fun additional side bosses that add a bit of flavor to the mix. I would say if anything, I found one boss in particular to be a bit of a pain, but aside from that one boss, the bosses were really fun to fight against. The power-ups you get from the bosses were really fun to use as well.
Mega Man X2 is about on the same level as Mega Man X1. Great gameplay and level design, but having some of the same issues that I found in the first game. Regardless of those issues Mega Man X2 is still overall a really good game, and I'm glad to have gotten around to it.

a definite step down, but still great

It's a solid follow up, but it's not as good as the first.

New movement options are great and super fun! New mavericks are cool and there are a few songs that are really great. Overall the soundtrack is weaker compared to the first though.

The x hunters are interesting, but I don't like having to plan my routes around them. It makes the game less replayable for me since I always go for 100%.

It's hard to top a masterpiece like Mega Man X, which is why I can't blame them for failing. In all seriousness, it may be a step down, but I still like it.

Gotta be honest though, someone needed to step in and take away the overdriven guitar sample from the composers, cuz goddamn do they use it way too much in this game's soundtrack.

A Sequel to Mega Man X must've been rather difficult, Even for the Mega Man series. However, it did what the Mega Man series does best. Flounder around and do the same thing again. Okay, that's a bit mean. X2 introduced a lot of things to the series, But it also just doesn't compare to X1, It feels like this was the first entry more than the first. X2 is a sloppier game. Level Design is good throughout, Bubble Crab and Magna Centipede's stages come to mind as fun stages. But the Secret Armor capsules and Heart Tanks are a pain to get, and all and all, this game is a good, albeit weak sequel to the fantastic X1.

Level design menos polido que o do X1. Dificuldade um pouco injusta

A little less polished than the first one but still a classic

(I'm replaying every MMX game after like 10 years of my last marathon, i remember so little about them that they're almost blind playthroughs)

It's not as good as X1.
The levels feel short and uneventful, many times i got to the boss door thinking "wait, that's it?"
Most of the weapons suck aside from the bubblebeam.
The upgrade placement is evil, there was a point i started spamming the radar everywhere to find the last few items.
The worst one is the armor piece in Morph Moth's stage, it's literally impossible to find unless you're spamming the radar to break a random part of the floor thats not suspicious at all.
Then there's some asshole item placement like the heart tanks in snail and gator levels requiring some pixel perfect plataforming on a death trap to waste your time, or the heart tank in Magna Centipede's stage where if you fail to do the jump you have to retart the level to get another chance, and that level makes you wait a lot. I also have to mention the Bubble Crab subtank, i discovered that using the bubble shield made me jumo higher underwater, but even after that i had no idea how to reach the subtank. After some time i mashed buttons out of desperation and found out i had to dash once i reach the surface and for some reason it allowed me to do an extra jump.

The bosses i think are ok, what i'm not a fan of is how the weaknesses affect them. I swear most of them are easier with the buster, the weaknesses usually make them skip a phase wich is usually their easiest one or in Gator's case he only spams his most boring and time consuming pattern.

The X-Hunters i'm not a fan of, the boss fights are... fine (except for Violen, i have NO idea how to dodge the spike ball i just facetank and spam bubbles until one of us dies). The idea is fine, but i don't like feeling forced to pick a stage i don't want play to save Zero. The only thing i remembered about them is that they had a timer, i didn't check online to remember how it worked but i managed to save Zero anyways.

The music is a mixed bag, some of the melodies are cool, but at times the sound is pure earrape. Honestly, i can't remember a single tune right now and i played it like two days ago.

I used to believe the Snes trilogy was the best, X2 and X3 kinda merged together as extentions to X1, but now that i'm playing them again, i feel that's not the case. X2 is still a nice game, i had a good time, but it's very flawed and not as good/fun as X1.

A fairly tough, but fun game.
Longer than the first one, but somehow packing something the first had.
Not sure what it is, but the game is not as good in my opinion. It’s nowhere near bad, just not as good as X1.
Everyone’s thoughts on that one will be different.
It has moments of greatness though, so check it out, form your own opinion on it.
