Solid fuckin' JRPG. Pleasantly surprised; just play it already.

Really freakin' good and the style of the game is off the charts. Can be extremely anime at times, but it works.

Not much of a game but it gut punched me in the feels.

Wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this game, but I knew I was gonna try it the moment I saw the trailer. It's impossible to avoid the comparison because it looks and plays very Heavily portal like; but still fun in its own right and does it in a different way. Graphics and design are really nice too.. some of the areas hit that liminal vibe just right. Deff worth a playthrough as long as puzzles don't scare you, all in all pleasantly surprised.

I want to like this more than I did.. game can be quite boring at times, I would of enjoyed my time with it much more without the annoying 6 item inventory. I don't mind limited inventory but it's horrible and gets old and tedious immediately. The look and the atmosphere is amazing. I see people saying the soundtrack is not good, but I totally disagree its very fitting and a great homage to Silent Hill music imo. Game is a good meld of RE2 and Silent hill but doesn't come close to reaching their heights.. final boss is extremely silent hill. All in all its a good addition to the survival horror genre and I'm excited to see what else will be done by this team and with this engine.

More NMH goodness finally unchained from the Nintendo Switch, it's really just more of the same. The map still feels like an vast and empty ps2 level open-world game with random interactable points, not much variation to gameplay even with how much it tries to mix genres up throughout the game. Past all its flaws though its a great time and is a great follow-up for fans of the series. The story is fucking all over the place and drops massive new lore seemingly at random intervals. Story keeps you wanting to keep going, fighting feels better than ever and is a ton of fun albeit repetitive.. Suda said that this was the end of Travis but.. I really hope its not.

I also appreciate the feature where prier can kick every monster in the groin

I love the sprite work, but the combat is dull as all hell. Boss encounters have maybe 1/2 moves lmao. Final boss is such a boring slog.. I just wanted it to be over.

"A fresh take on the JRPG genre" literally means nothing; its one of the most basic JRPGs I've played.. thank god you can just straight up turn off encounters or else I prolly would of just shelved the game.

As other people have said the game is mind numbingly easy, wish I knew that going in and I would of at least put it on hard and not normal. That aside I'm really sad I've never played this until the year 2022, because its extremely charming and cute. I've always seen it at retro stores for crazy expensive prices so I'm really glad it got ported to steam.

Honestly not enough new content, but I guess that in itself is a joke? Shrug.

Honestly.. I don't get the hype. I've wanted to play this for a long time and I had to force myself to get all/the true ending. Some of the dialog is hilarious tho.
