A big step up from 3, the 4 characters are good for the most part, Akiyama and Hana make pretty good duo of people and I liked his arc for the most part, Saejima, well at first his combat doesn't really have a good start in my opinion, yea he's a tank, but he's really slow, and because of that, and when you're put in a prison with a lot of guards, yeah, safe to say not the best, but when you get his abilities it makes using him easier and more fun, Tanimura is also a great character, it's sad to see his actor get in a scandal, but for the most part I liked him, but I HATED how they gave him the final boss, like why? His combat isn't suited to multiple people and you have to rely on his parries, but when that's not your concern he's fun to play as, he even has a heat action where you can arrest your enemies, and his story was pretty good, for Kiryu, he's the Dragon of Dojima, you know him by now assuming you've played through 0 - 3, he has a great start, having most of his abilities and a exceptional story too, the game may only take place in Kamurocho but it isn't that bad in my opinion, overall, I had a good amount of fun with Yakuza 4, while it may have some moments here and there, it doesn't disappoint most of the time.
