First impressions:
God I forgot how much I love world 3 and god did I forget how bad the framerate issues are, which they still somehow did not fix here yet. It's still early access though so there's still a lot of time for them to fix it along with the stupid amount of other bugs there are in this version. I really hope I don't end up regretting buying this.

I was gonna write about how I’m really glad I decided to finally start this game today because I didn’t know what else to do and how the plot is really intriguing and the mechanics are really fun and interesting, but I’m completely lacking the energy to do so because I had to suffer through the hell that was that stupid bird boss, which took me so long to kill that at a certain point I had no shame in turning it on easy mode because he had already wasted 2 hours of my life and all I wanted to do was kill him and go to bed peacefully knowing that he’s burning in hell.

I can’t wait to play more!

I liked the flower because that was the only boss I could actually beat. I wasn’t even alive to beat the devil when me and my friend got there, he easily carried our entire playthrough.

I somehow remembered playing this game at my nan’s house a stupidly long time ago, which is what made me want to buy it and play it again, and this game is way more addicting than it should be. It’s incredibly simple and basic but it’s so good! Popcap is 4 for 4 with this one, I don’t understand how they did it. Why did PVZ 2 have to exist, why can’t we get more of these?

Ok I should really finish this game soon

Just not really my thing, I'm sorry.

AKA "The Metroid Blast and Friends Collection" as me and literally everyone else I played this with called it.

The soundtrack dude, the SOUNDTRACK. HOLY CRAP. Every song is amazing and fits the atmosphere of every location and scenario perfectly. I've been listening to the whole thing ever since I first played it. It has such an ethereal, dreamlike vibe to it that's so calming and mysterious at the same time, and it compliments the rest of the game's whole aesthetic so well. I didn't even replay this game today, it was just on my mind for way too long. I do not understand how every single aspect of this game is this stupidly good. All I want from this game now (outside of a map, that would be nice) is more. If they don't make a sequel or a DLC or something, I'm gonna lose my mind. They can not just leave gameplay and atmosphere this fantastic in one single short game.
7 dollars.
7.
DOLLARS.

It’s really funny how I still haven’t beaten this game yet. Dracula’s castle is very hard.

I was trying to fix the frame rate issues on my emulator and then my game crashed, so I ended up making no progress yesterday >:(

I really need a better graphics card.

Oh yeah, the game itself is pretty cool so far. I’m really excited to play the rest of it once I figure out how to make it actually run smoothly on my computer. The soundtrack is still fantastic. Snake Eater is possibly the best opening song in any video game ever. I’m gonna have it stuck in my head for the next month, possibly the next year.

Looking at this nowadays, really the only things holding this one up were the mechanics and a couple of the new and updated retro tracks. Outside of the DLC and the remake with the DLC and the DLC for the remake with the DLC, it’s honestly pretty lacking now that I think about it.

A lot of the new tracks suck, some of them genuinely look like they were made in Roblox, but it makes up for that by having like every retro course in the franchise on top of some from 7 AND Luigi Island! Who needs the booster course pass?

…I do, obviously, it has Diddy Kong.

Dude regardless of the quality of most of the tracks do you even realize how much stuff is in this? Of course it was worth it. I’d pay $30 just for Diddy Kong.

CTGP-R is still better though.

I only have 4 trophies left and probably have another 60 hours spent on getting them. I can do it. This game is so good.
