It had some challenge but feels sooo much more tame to what a mainline or just all around Megami Tensei game would have. Just being able to hit a weakness regardless of AOT damage is soo in favor to the player compared to something like Smt 4 with the smile system. AOE and weakness needed to be aligned so buffs and resistance for a higher chance. Even dismissing technicalities the enemy difficulty as a whole just isn't on par either. Something like Smt4A with the more refined and debateable easier to understand gameplay doesn't go lower is because the enemy skills, Def, and attack were increased. This..... just feels lame to play through, but I do like the designs and music. Choices are a tad lame as well..... still difficulty wise in the low brow.

This is weird, demons are double edged and most times you are your best ally. Still worth experiment and has some replayability with some abilities.

If you auto battle 80 to 85 percent of fights you'll win

If played in the hardest difficulty it's actually enjoyable. Although I'm in the opinion of mementos being not that interesting or hard to get around. Shit, even the reaper isn't that hard. Although because I'm accustomed to samey dungeon design I might be influenced to think otherwise. Still, this game has a decent challenge for newcomers, although I doubt many are gonna play on the hardest difficulty.

Based megami tensei 2 extension. Great tie in but also contributes a bit with the combat. Nice job!

The beginning and middle portion is hard as balls but once you find the grind areas you can get better and remedy your options. Also walter, STOP USING FUCKING AGI!

The easiest mainline persona game of all time. I guess there's some challenge to newcomers and can understand it for that. I'd say this is the good entryway for new fans, although for veterans this is a walk in the park.

Best persona game in difficulty and the menus feel better on the way you decide to play. Emulation provides inputs and console can double tap to accelerate battles.

Added content is neat although combat being more modernized does help how easier this gets. Although what bumps it up are for some reason the item and healing items having a decrease in chance to appear for purchase. Making grinding less possible. It doesn't make it super hard though, you can get around it with swaping around characters.

Protag takes the award for being both the most useless but also somewhat useful character in megaten ever

There's not alot of difficulty here. Last time I played you can auto battle and have enough items dropped to do well with bosses

Vanilla feels more difficult funny enough. Although it's still a good way for people to start. Persona 4 would be the best place to start with megami tensei in my opinion although 5 is the popular child currently.

This strikes good difficulty but not quite hard. Party members act on their own but enough where you influence their actions. That becomes a fine balance.

Strega are poopy but there is some challenge with other enemies. I prefer having the AI decide what they want to focus on because it makes the challenge in the fight. Although choosing tactics goes a long way for newbies

Ok this is starting to feel more megami tensei. The difficulty is starting to increase and you have to experiment here. This could be the tipping point for a difficulty increase.

Enemies are interesting as you can talk your way out of a fight also items are scarce but not too much. Some combat is clunky to archaic but I think the inputs if played in emulators help the flow of battle. If you play it in the original console you can double tap and make the battles swifter but it's somewhat a chore for some. Later in the game though getting xp gets iffy, if you know.... you know......

Yooooooo this is lowkey baller. Feels like megami tensei 1 but has some modernization to it. Combat is more fluid but also easier to get into. Enemies are easier to predict with their elemental attacks but still provides challenges.
