Played this more and honestly, I don’t think you are intended to like this game—at least not fully. It takes an insane amount of time to learn each map and get good. EFT is about highs and lows (although it sucks ass when starting out) and I think it just forces a love/hate relationship that is unique to this genre of game. The good news is that finding a party is as easy as joining the discord. You learn less in a group but you die less often (generally).

One of my favorite co-op games that I have been playing recently. Highly recommend it to anyone that wants an up to 4 player online co-op experience

Was solid but definitely needs more. I will try beating the game with more characters + play some endless mode but there should be more challenges. I feel like luck is pretty strong and with some legendary items you can kind of overwhelm any enemy. I think there should be like some sort of persistent progress somewhere...like a passive buff or a specific item that you keep even after dying somehow. Game has a lot of potential but maybe there will be more to do in the game on or after the full release.

This game is like beautiful, cheesy pizza. Hard to stop eating and it invokes memories of playing Warioland. Only through the 2nd floor of the game and I think this is an easy 5/5. Incredible soundtrack, art and gameplay. This game has a lot of character and I highly recommend playing a demo or looking at a trailer if you are even a little interested.

Edit: Finished the game and I am going to play more for achievements/for fun. My initial opinion still stands, I also like how each floor of the tower is themed and that each level feels unique.

Great game, would like to see a pve game mode added at some point. At least personally I would only play this with friends, it takes a while to get good and learn the maps--even once you get the hang of it there are some days where you can lose a lot of gear...not for everyone but if it appeals to you then it could easily be a 5/5 for you

DMC 1 - Solid start to the series
DMC 2 - Skipping this one bc of uh the reviews
DMC 3 - This game was great, think I will enjoy playing 4 & 5 now that I have gone through 1 and 3. Towards the end there is a painful mission but other than that it felt smooth enough, as long as you pick weapons and a style you enjoy then you should be fine...trickster did feel strong against certain bosses though. Figuring out the best way to beat certain enemies takes time as well...but timing jumps or rolls (both of which have iframes) without trickster dodge still works for tougher enemies/bosses that put up more of a fight.

Not bad, played the tutorial + some co-op so far. Looks like it takes a while to pick up on the controls + mechanics of the game but that makes sense for a real-time dungeon crawler. Definitely recommend playing in short doses, it is nice that you can save runs (even co-op runs) and close the game; saving the playthrough for another time.

Played this with a friend with all of the dlc, believe playing it co-op made the experience much better but the game was just alright from what I recall.

Painful at times when you keep dying, but a fantastic game. Combat is similar to other From Software games, however, it is much more focused on deflecting attacks/finding your opponent's weaknesses. Highly recommended if you are looking for a challenging game.

Quick, fun experience. Music is fantastic and goes well with the chaotic gameplay loop. Definitely recommended if you want something fast paced to play on your phone. There may be compatibility issues since the devs split up and aren't actively supporting/updating their old products. Also, the same man that composed the Spelunky soundtrack did the music for this.

Nostalgia. There's a Japan-only sequel that is probably translated somewhere but I have never played that.

Hotline-Miami-Based game with original characters/its own setting + story. Different aesthetics than HM. Recommended for any Hotline Miami fan that wants both something a bit different and of course more gameplay. Check out trailers/playthroughs on youtube for an idea of what it is all about.

This game has a pretty solid arcade mode for anyone that just wants something quick to play. This has been in dev for quite a long time, but as a passion project from 3 people I have no complaints about that and I really need to revisit the main story to see how much has been done since I've played this last.
