I enjoy playing video games and ramble about the ones I've played here. I am probably a little too positive and lenient on games, but I honestly don't care.

This game feels like it was tailor-made for me. I really enjoy visual novels and tactics games, so I had a lot of fun with both sides of the gameplay loop.
The standout part of this game is the narrative and the way it unfolds. I loved the mysteries and slowly having all of my questions answered. I really enjoyed pretty much all of the characters and seeing their stories played out in sections from different perspectives.
The combat gameplay is slightly weaker than the excellent visual novel portion, but is still really engaging and fun to play. Getting new upgrades or weapons on people and seeing the effect they have in battle is incredibly satisfying, as is seeing a big enemy go down in one hit or a horde go down in a couple rockets. It was pretty easy at the beginning, but ramps up quite a bit near the end. I found the difficulty curve (on normal) to be quite good.
The artstyles also are pretty cool. I really like the 2D/3D thing they have going on in rememberance and the futuristic computerized visuals of the battles give it a whole new prespective.
Overall this is an amazing game, my personal GOTY 2023.

I have had an amazing time with this game. I love the management and planning part of this game, which might be kind of unusual for this game. The feeling of optimizing a schedule to get a bunch of money, skill points, and unlocks was really fun. Personally didn't care for the social aspects, I more enjoyed the farming, fishing, and mining. It may not sound relaxing to other people, but it was pretty relaxing for me. The fact that this game can be experienced in so many ways is a testiment to how flexible and good this game is. I made it to ginger island and petered out arround the end of year 2. I'll probably pick it up another time.
