Two very solid 2.5D platformers, must play for people into the genre. I did prefer the first game as I feel its more focused on what its trying to do and it has a better end game but I really liked 2 as well and that final level was challenging

Way better than I was expecting considering the hate for this game I see, definitely has its issues but I thoroughly enjoyed going through this game.

One of the best fights in the game and this is the SMALL dlc, cant wait for the second one.

Not as good as Heavensward but still really good, it did have its slow points though and I think some of the fat could be trimmed to make for a better experience. Enjoyed the story but felt it was a bit too long, really liked Lyse and Hien, hope they stay.

Good game although I feel like some parts dragged on a bit too long (mainly Chapter 3 and 6) and the combat was a bit funky, definitely carried by its story which is quite good although a bit confusing.

Definitely going in my top 5 ps2 games 100%. The game was a great mix of horror and action it also had great atmosphere and sound design which elevates how tense you can feel. The only part I disliked was the Island, just think it goes on for a bit too long.

9 years after the original Japanese release this game finally see the light of day overseas and it was great. The combat basics is the usual bread and butter of the action Yakuza games but with of course, a samurai twist, pre-dating Yakuza 0 this is the first game in the series that introduced style switching, including Sword, Gun, Sword + Gun (Known as Wild Dancer), and Fists. All of them have their uses and are all fun to use (except maybe Fists as the damage output is pretty low).

The story is based on real life events with a real life person named Sakamoto Ryoma (with the appearance of series star Kazuma Kiryu) which has you infiltrating the Shinsengumi to find you killed your father while reforming Japanese society along the way. This is a must play for people into Japanese history and can also act as a gateway for people that want to get into its history too.

This game can also act as an entry point for people looking to get into the series as it's completely disconnected from the rest other than multiple characters taking the appearance of certain characters from the main series. Don't be scared to start here cause it's great.

Now RGG can you please bring over Kenzan!, Kurohyou and remaster Dead Souls please?

Depression Simulator

Honestly this is one of the best Final Fantasy stories there is, characters were great and the villain is one of the best in the whole of gaming. Its so well written and it has so many lines of dialogue that will just get you to think about the world and yourself. 10/10.

Only really played this so I could go into Alan Wake 2 without missing anything and im glad I did. Story was pretty good and the kind to get you using your mind a bit (although could be confusing towards the end), atmosphere and art design was really good, and gameplay was decent although got repetitive since at the end of the day it boiled down to shoot, throw, shoot, throw. Wish they removed enemy encounters altogether after you take them out the first time, since the game has randomly timed missions that pop up people could use that if they wanna go shoot stuff, having enemies respawn as you enter a room trying to do something made the combat feel more repetitive than it was.

Overall solid game though, looking forward to finally playing Alan Wake 2

Good step in the right direction from FF13, while level design can still be a bit claustrophobic its not just walk straight anymore. Each area acts as a hub where you progress the story, do side quests, fight monsters, I really liked the gameplay loop of this one compared to the previous.

Really liked Serah and Noels dynamic but I do wish there was a third character along for the ride, mainly cause i wasnt that big on the monster capture system and would have much preferred just having a proper third character. Also this soundtrack to this game was amazing, one of the best in the series.

The last and best of the NES era, you can tell the stories are getting more interesting the more it goes on but this one is also mostly forgettable. Job system is great and has a lot of firsts in the series because of it.

I really enjoyed this dlc, I may have even enjoyed the story and characters more than the base game. Torna was really fun to explore mainly because you dont have to keep swapping blades around for excavation sites, but yeah really solid expansion.

I have very fond memories of this game but unfortunately with the wonky jumping, the stupid save system and the quite punishing 100% requirements I just feel theres no point in playing this version (outside of curiosity) when the N. Sane version exists which fixes all of its problems.

Good game, leveling system was weird but it was unique. The story was forgettable but its the 2nd game in the series so its fine. The final dungeon theme was great though. Overall I think I liked FF1 more. Onto FFIII which is apparently the best of the NES trilogy.

Its been two years and with the hype of FF16 I decided to finally go back and continue 14 and im glad I did. Such a step up in everything, really enjoyed the characters and the history of Ishgard and the whole Dragonsong war. Time for post game HW.
