Before of this, I thought Sonic never had a good game and all their games were only "good" because they were powered by the allmighty nostalgia.

The fandom and the wholesome way Sega treats their fandom, attracted me to this game, and at 30€, i sais lets give it a try.

Oh boy, i can see now. Such charming games with tons of content to play, but with obvious jank to add a little more playtime. I love the characters and the music is stellar.

I think i liked Sonic CD the most. I get why people complain if they bought the original sonic origins, but i don't understand the complains now, Sonic Origins Plus was a wonderful experience that gave me a chance to experience something from an era I wasn't even born. Will check other games of the blue hedgehog for sure

I see why it's the best out of the four, lots of charming visuals and music, it has a ton more effort than the other ones and the in game cinematics are something this games needed a lot.

Except for that box in carnival zone, that one box lowers this game's core by 7

After playing some triple A games, an indie can feel like eating hand-made cookies at your grandma's house, maybe they aren't as good as cookies from a bakery, but they make you feel a sensation of warmth inside you.

Wavetale is charged with love, the game looks gorgeous, the artwork, character design and overall aesthetic of the game is really really good. And in the same pack comes a really awesome soundtrack that fits it perfectly and some very loveable and charismatic characters.

The protagonist Sigrid feels AMAZING to control, she has a ton of very fun mechanics to toy around and move freely that made exploring the world the best part about the game.

And as i said the best part for me by far, is the world. The worldbuilding is insanely good, the background of how things happened and ended that way isn't just told by the story, but just looking at the world itself and how well crafted it is. That's why it saddens me a little how simple and nothing sandwich is the story, like, it isn't bad by any mean but i almost everything is told at the end in long cutscenes and I feel bad that all the very noticeable work in world building gets used for almost nothing in a very simple and predictable story carried by their lovable characters.

And by the love of god, DO NOT PLAY IT ON THE SWITCH WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE, the game looks good and plays fine most of the time but the framerate is almost HORRENDEOUS in certain parts, my experience got tainted because of getting stuck in various floor clipping, bugged missions and bosses that makes your console a powerpoint slide, I know the switch is a difficult console to port games but the game plays really really poorly even for a Switch game and it's a shame because on other hardware the game looks way way better.

In conclusion, great game, not much else to say about it, it excels on anything except story and is a neat little adventure. Awesome characters, gorgeous visuals, lots of creativity and really great game overall.

2020

It took, 3 years

I clearly remember that morning, it was 5 am, i woke up really early because i was so hyped about this game releasing, I was craving to play it. I wasn´t an adult yet, it was christmas day. Played a ton, drew the characters, hooked my friends into it...

I loved the game, but when i reached the endgame, i stopped, to do all the side missions. Just, to never touch the game for the next 3 years of my life.

This game has a special place into my heart, i really struggle to finish things due to self esteem, that´s why I left this game on the endgame for that long. A lot of stuff has happened to me in those years, a lot. This christmas, after seeing the 3rd anniversary art of the game, i told myself "I have to finish this", made a new save file and blasted through it.

I know the formula of this game has been done quite a quatrillion times, that doesn´t cover how awesome is this game, the cast of characters is spectacular, the amount of content is almost unbelievable how much there is to do and the artstyle suits the story and gameplay perfectly and makes it pretty memorable. Not perfect by far, but really really good and charming.

Today I removed one splinter that was stucked in me for a long long time, thanks for everything Omori, don´t know if i will see you again, but i feel that what you´ve done has done more than enough in my life. You can rest now. Awesome game.

It's fascinating how a soul-less game so clearly made with the only purpose of making money gets away with it.

But not gonna lie, it's so bad i had actually a lot of fun playing it.

Really short and with a fascinating new idea, using maps as a medium to scare people. That´s why I love to investigate the horror medium, is so incredibles how many ways and complex mechanism it has. The game its free, if you are curious, play it, its good so you won´t lose anything.

As I said, my problem with sonic. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON. Maybe im stupid, but i can't run more than like 2 seconds without getting stopped by random off-screen stuff. The Levels have 0 cohesion, why do they make 4 separate maps and soundtracks for a level that you only need to see 1-2? Are they masochists?

And god triggering the past-future mechanic is straight up dog fart doodoo poop shittin bootie.

I aprecciate this game for giving us wonderful characters as Amy or Metal sonic and gorgeous animated shorts, but i had a really hard time playing it.

2nd Playtrough:
Oh boy i was wrong, yeah, the level design is kinda shitfart, but uff, the music THEAM, the style, the different worlds, the backtracking, the animations

Oh boy they are SOOOOO GOOOODDD
A very flawed videogame with an excellent atmosphere and world revolving around it.

My favourite of the 4

Great game! It has a little unsettling ambience, but at the end, the experience is really cozy, i missed more meat in the plate, because completing the game can take quite some time, but it´s more of a experience, you don´t have to play the game, you chose in your own free will to play it, so enjoy, don´t think to much and fish. Didn´t understand some mechanics like the cooking and the ending... well.. It´s complete asscheeks but I know that almost all of this type of games have these sort of endings.

Actually liked it, one thing i don´t quite like about sonic is that it has tons of content and secrets, but because you go so fast, you dont see or understand anything and just play until it´s over and it leaves and empty sensation on you.

Maybe I´m dumb

In this one I got to understand what was going on the screen, that´s not usual! Very charming game with lot´s of content.

Really looking to getting more into this blue hedgehog´s world.

2nd playtrough:
After beating all sonics, yeah, not having spindash is really horrible, this game feels really sluggish at time, but i still like it. Starlight is a wonderful zone, but, im sorry i have to remove 5 million points because of the stupid emeralds minigame

I don´t care it was made in a day, the fart that came from my ass earlier had more comedic value.

I was going to play more games, but, god, i think im going to sleep, I´m really questioning my reality.

Surprisingly really good!, I wasn't expecting that. The story is really really good (how did the funny wahoo cat rabbit almost make me cry??????) The game themselves ultracharming, with really good characters, music and pure joy in general.

And the tone changes in this game what???????????? Hello?????

I didn't even know anything about Klonoa (I thought it was from Sega, like Billy Hatcher XD) and I bought it blindly because it was at a cheap price.
If you have the minimum curiosity about this game, buy it, it will surprise you as it surprised me and for the price you get quite the quality for your money, you won't regret it for sure.

Wahoo! Klonoa best boy

Im not a fan of the stealth sections, they weren´t what I was looking playing this game. Some pants changes later, and expectacular addition to the best game I have ever experienced, love the ending.

Falling from a skyscraper into a bunch of broken glass while burning would be a less painful fall than the one this game had in it´s third act.

I kinda have a mixed opinion about this game...
I was super hyped about it, and the first levels did had that sonic spark, but god, it falls so down in the second half is unbeliveable, and the final boss is asscheeks.
There is no ultra bad level, like metropolis zone, but there also isn't any super good level, they are all pretty solid "good" so they end up kinda bland

If this game costed 30-40€ i would defend it with my life, but for 60€+Funny Lego DLC i can't defend it even if I love Classic Sonic.

Overall bland and goodish quality that stars on a high note to end in a radioactive wasteland, I knew it wasn't going to be a mind-blowing game but it left me kinda hollow inside. Aswell as with the others, I'll edit this review when I do a second gameplay.

I have never cried in any game, movie or media in general

I had
