Would not play again. I wanna keep my friends.

Fr though, fun game

Does it deserve full 5 stars? probably not. But it is what made me fall in love with visual novels.

Did not expect the horror route

Holy crap this game was long. Okay I'll say everything I like about it first. Really interesting even if very convoluted story, some great gameplay, now more modern than the last two and very fun side missions and jobs.

But holy crap these so many side jobs. I can say I at least enjoyed them all, from Saejima's hunting to Haruka's dancing minigame and my favourite Kiryu's eurobeat initial d ass racing. But they were way too long, definitely Haruka's specifically. If they just toned them down, it definitely would be better. Also though I did enjoy, the story was a mess until the end and even in the end, it felt like it was all over the place.

Great game still but be ready for one hell of an adventure.

Though combat stays somewhat stiff from Yakuza 3, it's just feels better. No clue why. Anyway I love the new characters, more than I expected I would do (besides Saejima slightly, you know the scene). Great game.

Probably the worst Yakuza game in my eyes, BUT not bad.

I still really enjoyed this one but it definitely had a less memorable storyline overall (besides my boy Mine, love him). And the combat was just very stiff, understandable considering I came from more modern remasters/remakes but still.

And no it's not blockuza. That's just a skill issue honestly.

Peak. Enough said.

For real though, when I decided to play this game. I was not prepared to experience what I did. That story hit me hard, more than I expected from something that was this goofy. But somehow goofy/serious just works in any kind of media.

The combat is addicting and fun, with two entire characters with their own multiple styles. Side missions are excellent and though I never did it back then, I would gladly do all of them.

It's not a game for everywhere. Same goes for the entire series. But I would recommend it either way.

The only ace combat I actually just hate.

The physics are sluggish. It feels like I'm piloting air balloons and not multi-million dollar sonic jets. The music though good, feels out of place and random. And the AI? Even worse, that last fight was stupid and broken.

And not's even everything but I rather not rant about it. It's not that and I just didn't enjoy. Maybe one day I'll give it a go again, who knows, I might have been wrong and that was just a bad day. But not today.

It is actually ridiculous they were able to put a full on Ace Combat game on a PSP of all things. Besides the controls naturally, everything here is the same as you would have found on a PS2. But they didn't stop there.

Not only is the story based in a different part of Strangereal, away from the usual locations the series is in. But they actually implemented more into the gameplay, by giving us the old map system from the original and giving us entire new missions depending on what mission we choose.

You could focus on attacking an enemy base, leading to a mission based around destroying it, but because of that, the enemies have used that opportunity to attack your allies which you could have helped out if you chose the other missions.

It's a really cool system and I hope it makes a return one day.

I'll start with the elephant in the room. Yes the DFM system sucks and I'm thankful the franchise didn't continue it. It can be pretty cool to look at it but being the main system? nah.

But the game was actually still quite good honestly. The badass music, the actual cool story, and even with DFM, fun gameplay. I would never like to see the franchise at this point again but I'm happy that it did happen as it gave us a cool unique title.

Though the story can be a mess, it still does not fail to make me patriotic for a functional country.

But as flawed as the story is, the gameplay was the true highlight. Not only is this the point where the flying system was updated, giving us a even smoother experience than the ps2 games, but the ground combat is just wow.

The fact the game requires us to assist ground forces and actually makes us cares about them makes me so much more annoyed that Ace Combat 7 never implemented this system. It is actually such a good feature and I really hope ac8 will have it, whenever that game comes out.

As good as Ace Combat 5 if I'm being honest. Pixy and conflict as a whole are very interesting parts of the story and the gameplay being focused on boss fights make this one a very fun time. I wish this also had a port on PS4 like 5 but oh well

Up there as one of my favourites titles in the series. In my opinion, it has by far the best story, with the best characters and an amazing plot. Alongside that of course, your classic addicting jet gameplay.

These not much I can say apart from f*** you bandai for locking the remaster.
