Yeah, I was a sucker and I bought the Limited Run re-release. I watched the AVGN video years ago, it became one of my favorites, and this appeared to be "The Room" of video games. So I had to have a way to actually play it instead of just watching others play it (especially after the best way of playing it before, through YouTube, was rendered useless after YouTube removed the annotation feature).

And I can honestly say I don't regret spending money and physically adding this game to my collection at all. To all of the people saying "It's not even so bad it's funny. It's just bad", I highly disagree. There's even a lot of really funny shit that the AVGN didn't mention.

Though, unlike The Room, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is often trying to be funny. The humor comes from its failure in this respect lol

The more I think about it, the more seriously let down I am by Tears of the Kingdom.

It's still fun to explore and interact with the world, but it really doubles down on all of the problems of BotW. Even the things that didn't bother me in that game become a chore here.

The only really fun addition is the new abilities. It's definitely fun to drop boxes and stuff on enemies' heads.

Poor performance. So much lag and pop-in issues. It's really pathetic.

I still hate how there are no real dungeons. We should be able to have a huge, expansive world and proportionally scaled-up dungeons.

The sky is boring. The depths are boring. Y'know what the depths should have been? The Twilight Realm. It should have been an entirely new map the same size as Hyrule, ala Johto in Pokémon Gold. And they should have brought Midna back.

Iwata-san, you are sorely missed. 😔

This is the best 2D Mario game and it's not even close.

Hot take: The English voice acting is marginally better than the CD-I games.

Why can't we get another WarioWare game with no stupid gimmicks?

No touch screen. No motion controls. No little character you control. No making the microgames yourself. None of that garbage.

Just a game like the first one, with new microgames and updated graphics.

If a Playstation 2 can run Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 at 60 frames per second, why can't a Switch?

Like, dude.

What if Mario DID DRUGS? 🤯

Having a lot of fun, so far, but the appeal of BotW has certainly worn off a bit, and I'm kinda hoping we can just get a normal Zelda game again (or at least something closer to that).

Building vehicles works WAY better here than it does in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. It is actually fun and quick in this game, rather than tedious and frustrating.

I don't like that they leaned in to the story aspects of BotW. The story was EASILY the weakest part of that game, but the best thing about its story was you could leave everything pretty vague. For this world, I think that fits a lot better. Tears of the Kingdom doesn't seem to think so.

I still don't think voice acting works in Zelda. It doesn't add anything, and the English voice acting is mostly really bad. It just makes Zelda feel a bit more like every other lame, generic JRPG.

And I'm still pissed that there's no Midna. You mean to tell me you can put fucking Hestu in more than one main series Zelda game, but the coolest character in the series can never come back in some reimagined form? Fuck off.

Midna is one of the best characters in the series, and I am still pissed that she has never shown up again in a main Zelda game.

Seriously, if fucking Tingle can show up in multiple games, why can't Midna?

This really is the Skinamarink of video games, huh?

Meh.

I think the thing that makes the Zelda series so great is it's a Western-style fantasy series told from an Eastern perspective.

Have you ever wondered what Mario Kart would be like if it had the shitty physics from Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts?
