Journey-likes
Travel from Point A to B to C in a generally linear fashion, often with limited environmental interactions/combat/puzzles and more focused atmospheric exploration. Not including Journey itself (or its predecessor, Flower) since I'm mostly looking for successors/imitators. Personal goal of mine to get through as many of these as I can.

Honestly all the AERY games fit the bill so let this be the stand-in for the whole franchise
I get that it's by the same studio but from what I hear it is more or less just trying to be new age Journey

Spirit of the North?
Toy Story 3 is a little too different in terms of overall gameplay and aesthetics, sorry.
Spirit of the North is exactly what I'm looking for, so I added that. Thanks!

What differentiates a Journey-like from your standard linear setpiece-platformer?
Elements I'm looking for are 3rd person perspective (i.e. no first person walking sims like Firewatch), traveling with less focus on quests/side quests and more focus on overall story progression, and minimal difficulty (i.e. no deaths) with heavy emphasis on atmosphere and exploration over heavy use of puzzles/combats. It's one of those "you'll know it when you see it" kind of lists so there might be some exceptions to some rules here and there.
I recommand you Gris, it fits your criterias perfectly, and it's the most beautiful 2D game I've played in my Life.
