I wanted this game so bad as a kid and seeing the box in the store for a full year. After convincing my parents to buy it and I finally get to play it I cried at how bad it was and my parents managed to get a refund due to how long the worn out box had not been sold and that we paid way to much for it.

If you want an exploration game where the point is to learn and gather knowledge in order to progress then this is for you. The less you know before you play the better.

If I could wipe my memory of a single game so that I could experience it all over again, I would choose Outer Wilds. Genuinely amazing to explore and puzzle together all the pieces of the story. I think I experienced the full spectrum of emotion while playing this damn game. The story just hit me so hard and some locations terrify me while others just fill me with awe.

Incredible for its time but has aged quite a bit. Leagues above the competition at release. Expansion and fully patched fixes a lot of issues with it and balance issues. Limited health potions in the shop was the worst if you played multiplayer. It was an excellent experience as a kid when my dad brought home a bunch of laptops from work and me, my siblings and the neighborhood kids would LAN all weekend.

I believe this is the Gran Turismo game I played on the ps1. It was decent

Truly an amazing sequel. You leave the first game feeling great and wanting more and Portal 2 gives you exactly that. Awesomely polished and planned just like the first game, new puzzles, new mechanics, a new multiplayer mode!! If you liked the first game I cannot see how you wouldn't like this one

Somehow found a copy that had a misprint on the back that said 2 players. I played through the whole game before I realized that there was no 2 player....
Pretty ok game though

One of the worst remakes to ever have existed.
Why? It made the original worse, it actually removed features from the original, filesize went 2gb -> 30gb (no graphics for you though, just bloat), and increased the needed specs you need to play a 20 year old game. I am not even talking about if you were playing reforged, I am talking about if you download and install the original Warcraft 3 latest version you will get a genuinely worse experience. You also can't play online if you don't go for the latest version so going for an earlier version needs workarounds! Whats even more disappointing is they released some patches with potential to the old game to allow old players to play with new ones, like increasing map player limit to 24, it became garbage on release. They removed ladder/ranked and took 2 extra years to reintroduce it, IT WAS FUNCTIONALITY THAT HAD EXISTED FOR 18 YEARS AND THEN REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL. They also now tightened control of custom maps so they don't lose the next DOTA and also restricted the use of copyrighted or inappropriate content in them. Bye bye all the wacky anime maps and all other cool fan maps that got made. Also bye maps like go fish who don't want to update because of the stricter control over IP and all that. I haven't even mentioned everything that was removed, there are several lists if you are curious.

Now for actual complaints about the remake itself :)
The new graphics also look horribly generic and cluttered. No consistent art design. So much of the promised new cutscenes, new voice acting, and all that new stuff was just not there. They added a few of those but couldn't be bothered to finish it. No new promised campaigns or story. Menu is worse, its html/web browser crap and it was released laggy and clumsy. Performance is better now 3 years later but holy shit it was garbage for so long. Still cant rejoin games, which sucks because desyncs happen regularly. Engine limitations still are a problem, didnt really bother to do anything about that. Incredibly unoptimized and completely garbage all around.

Even if this game didnt destroy the original game it would still be an absolutely atrocious remake full of problems and straight up lies about what it would contain.

At least I could refund it

One of my first games for Gameboy color (other being Pokemon Blue). My first intro to one of my favorite game series. What an absolutely incredible experience with a ton of references of which I only understood a couple. So many batteries emptied playing this game, genuinely felt like I was playing this for years. Even managed to convince my parents to get this strategy guide we stumbled upon in a gas station, finding that accidentally in Sweden gets more insane the more I think about it, must of been fate. That guide helped me see even more of my beloved game like the extra hidden temple that DX had added.

My first game (that I remember)
Replacement babysitter when my dad brought me with to his work and I sat there gaming on the computer they had at the office

It was an amazing game, the coop was the greatest shit and I crave the same type of coop to this day.

More characters, new melee weapons, more maps, more special infected, steam workshop support for all the amazing mods!!! Its more of everything and the polish is something I miss in many games. Rare case where the sequel makes the first game pointless to play. Even though the first game is incredible, the second has all the maps and characters from the first with everything from the second (like melee weapons!!)

It's a Starship Troopers inspired parody of a jingoistic humanity set in a dystopian future where we fight for survival with expendable soldiers and A LOT of firepower.

The gameplay is extremely enjoyable and the over-the-top patriotism, propaganda, and positive tone is the perfect spice. Its hard to not have a smile on my face as I personally am the strongest soldier(s) who is/are responsible for Super Earth continuing to be free.

An amazing DLC and a must play if you played the base game. I couldn't even imagine how they were gonna manage to make a DLC for Outer Wilds but holy shit they did it.

The spears are so damn satisfying to throw, its so addictive that nothing else matters. It would of been 5 stars if spears were available at all times throughout the game.
