Gripping story, rich compact world with plenty of things to do, sidequests that make you laugh and cry, and sometimes both. One hell of a first impression for an amazing franchise.
Lovable cast of characters, intriguing murder mystery story, pure sense of style and the trusty Megaten combat. Legendary game that I wish I could experience for the first time again.
While this game hasn't aged the best, and lacks some much-needed features (like the ability to control your party members), it's easily worth playing despite its flaws. The atmosphere during the final act is perfect and might be my favorite act throughout the entire franchise.
Unique battle system but this game is grindy and overstays its welcome quickly. Recommend atleast reading a summary of the story since it sets up a lot of the Kingdom Hearts 2 story.
