Straight up an insane level of commitment to create something this good and affecting inside of DOOM II in 2023. My biggest issue with it is my main problem with most horror games: multiple endings. Once I experienced my blind playthrough I realized I only saw half of what the mod had to offer. I went back to experience everything else through a guide. At that point I was just watching a behind the scenes supplemental featurette. This was no longer the personal, affecting experience I had at first, it was just a fun guide through a haunted house with all the lights on. Restricting multiple really cool areas through cryptic hints is kind of a let down, but on the flip side I really appreciate how everyone can get their own personal experience from this. I almost wish the file deleted itself right after I finished my first playthrough.
I wrote a longer review for a website, but here is my favorite portion of that piece:
"It’s difficult to describe how good “Pizza Tower” is because there is no other game like it. The only way I can accurately define it would be to call it a high-concept alt-rock Nickelodeon-core freak-style game. I couldn’t even tell you what that means, but that is exactly why “Pizza Tower” feels so fresh and unique."

This was hands down the best time I’ve had with a point and click adventure game in a while. The puzzles were incredible, never becoming too cartoonish in its logic, while still managing to still be engaging and funny. I only had to look up a guide twice. I call that a win. The humor felt contemporary in its fast paced, meta tendencies, and I found myself gasping for air multiple times (I had to take a five minute breather after the Fettucini brothers scene). I do think the second half of the game drags a little bit in comparison to the first, but that opening is so strong that I don’t even mind. I held off playing this game because I thought it was going to be a somewhat boring or serious adventure game, but it truly blew me away with its imaginative world and it’s hilarious puzzles.
