Gameplay is repetitive as sin, as per usual with Koei Warriors stuff. But I honestly kinda dig this psuedo chibi-fied take on an ancient Chinese supernatural novel!
I was wondering why this game never caught on, and found out this was actually the last game in a series of 3-4 games, it's the only one that's a hack-and-slash, and it's the only one that was localized for the West.
